We stayed here for one night over the May bank holiday weekend. Whilst the food was great, the rest was pretty disappointing and way overpriced. Summary - budget experience in trying-too-hard-and-missing-the-mark surroundings. Even with a half price deal this was not value for money. If you are used to the likes of Mr and Mrs Smith hotels, you will be... More

The venue was perfect for our requirements, but we were very disappointed by the catering and many aspects of the service we and our guests received. The road to the hotel was in very poor condition and there were not enough staff around to provide the service which we had been ed to expect.

While the grounds of Berwick Lodge are magnificent, and the building itself conjures up images of the era of country house parties, some of the rooms (or at least the one we stayed in) are the embodiment of rather faded glory. We booked in for a night's stay and were shown up to an attic room crammed full of heavy... More

I stayed here using a Living Social voucher for glass of bubbly on arrival, 3 course dinner with glass of bubbly, accommodation and breakfast. From the moment we arrived the staff were courteous and attentive without being intrusive. We we shown to our room, Troya, with the reclaimed pulpit forming a platform for the bed and it was every bit... More

Excellent hotel, could not be faulted. All the staff work so hard. Food excellent, service outstanding, rooms exquisite. Its a little bit out of the way & not ideal for Bristol city centre, however for a romantic couples get away its perfect.

Stayed here for one evening whilst on our way to Cardiff as it is so close to the bridge. It is a lovely hotel with plenty of parking spaces, however the long thin lane to get there isn't exactly great as it is not wide enough for two cars so you have to be extra careful and slow driving down... Stayed over on a business trip, staff were very friendly and helpful. i stayed in the TROYA room., which was huge. The bed appears to be on a parapet where you have to climb stairs to get to. There was a rage bath and shower provided.did not make breakfast as i had to leave at 6:30. Evening meal was excellent.

Booked this after a recommendation from a local for a weekend away from London. Online looks highly luxurious and well located. In reality rather different. Located up a road with more pot holes than is safe for a car you arrive to a soul less building, with no clear entrance way. A few shabby looking red velvet ropes marked the... More
