We went for a meal as a small group on a quiet evening. Good selection of beers. Pre dinner drinks and dinner orders taken sitting by the large log fire. Lovely 3 course meal. Great service.

Recently refurbished, it seems, but still retaining a village pub atmosphere, with friendly and attentive staff. Sandwiches at lunchtime were tasty, and we enjoyed the open fire in the
evening. Dinner menu was not extensive, but we ate well.

Chose this place randomley on the map to meet friends - a halfway house, read trip advisor first and decided to book our lunch there last week. Pleased to say we were not dissapointed, lovely friendly staff, pub is beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean and the food did not dissapoint either. We will be going back to stay a night...

However, I tried to place a very simple order for food...

The staff were so friendly and made us feel at home. We had our evening meal there on both nights and found the food to be of a very high quality. We...

I recently stayed in this refurbished river-side pub in a thriving village with a palpable sense of community in the lovely Eden valley. There are only six bedrooms but each is of good size and well equipped. The decor throughout is light, understated and quietly stylish. There is a confident attention to detail. Nothing shouts at you. But the food...

Visiting family in the area and have had a 'lunch' twice this week. Each time we chose a soup for a light meal. Each time it was excellent. Have eaten full meal here since the refurb, again, spot on.What I can say is the change of management is a most welcome change. I did enjoy the prems under the old...
