The luxury suites are very spacious with good facilities, very comfy bed and lovely kitted out bathroom. The breakfasts were not gourmet as expected or homecooked, I would guess. We got a special rate on this room which was a good deal but I would have been disappointed if we had paid the full rate. more

First, I should mention that my husband and I are VERY picky travellers. We stay in very nice hotels/accommodations wherever we go and do appreciate the 'finer' things. We were NOT disappointed by the Prancing Horse...at all! When we got there, we found our note on the post-it board with our keys and instructions on how to find our unit.... more

We were quite disappointed in this B&B. For the rates the owners charge we were disappointed in general. In retrospect we could have stayed at the new Westin for the same price. As previous people have mentioned there is no one to greet you when you arrive...so a little at a loss when you arrive. Housekeeping needs a lot of... more

I have to say I was a little diappointed with my recent stay at the Prancing Horse. First the good things - there is a beautiful view, there is a large amount of food for breakfast and the room was clean, owner was friendly. Food at the nearby Steeples restaurant was excellent. For the price, there was no housekeeping services... more

after seeing their website we booked ahead for two couples , to stay 4 nights. we gave our visa knowing they would debit one night as deposit. it does have beautiful views but, they handily omit fact they are right over major highway one- so, peaceful and tranquil it is not. sitting on the deck is like being at major... more

The Guests booked on our online system & did not contact us with regards to any details. The guests commented prior to checkout they thoroughly enjoyed thier stay, thier problem centers around signing the imprinted visa copy. We did inform the guests that we had processed thier credit card 30 days prior to thier arrival as this is our cancelation...

Exquisite view of mountains & water. Beautifully appointed decore. Breakfasts were beyond what any 5 star restaurant would offer including croissants, muffins, fresh mango, eggs benedict, coffee, hot tea served in lovely china. Hot tub available & our 3 night stay was perfect. Our hostess gracious and a great cook! more

We just returned from a trip that included a visit to Vancouver Island, specifically Victoria. In my research of bed and breakfast options, we were so fortunate to have found the Prancing Horse! Our room was very large with the most magnificant view ever. The owners, Al and Elaine, were very hospitible and made our stay perfect. We were there... more

We stayed at the PH for 4 nights and found it to be lacking in some areas. It sits on a hill and has gorgeous views, but the very busy Trans Canada Highway, although unseen, is below it and there is constant traffic noise. Parking is very limited, as it was once a private residence. Guests have to jockey for... more

The Prancing Horse Estate is a fabulous place to stay. My husband and I stayed here for two nights on our honeymoon. It was a perfect pick. The location couldn't be beat, up in the hills, near the Aerie Resort, overlooking a lake. The outdoor hottub was very nice and there is even a gazebo with a chess set ready... more

My husband and I were hesitant to stay at the PH after reading the reviews on this website. However, we were not disappointed at all. THe PH is not "perfect" but we found it to be a great place overall. The PH is more of a "retreat" where guests come for relaxation than a B&B where people (including the hosts)... more
