We just returned from another amazing night of food, fun, and relaxation at the Waring House. This was our third stay and each time has been fantastic. Our room this time was on the second floor of the Heritage lodge and it was magnificent. A spacious bathroom, large balcony, and unbelievably comfortable king size bed. For dinner we had the... More

This place looks fabulous and the decor is wonderful, too bad the construction of the new buildings is so poor. The walls are so thin I could actually hear the conversation of the people next door - clearly! The man's snoring also kept me awake at night. The food in the bar was nothing special and a bit salty. We recently stayed a second time at the Waring House but will be unlikely to return. We arrived before the 3pm check-in time and were tersely told by the lady at the front desk that we should call the inn before coming back so that we won't waste our time (and by implication hers). She seemed very surprised and put-off... More

This was our third trip to the Waring House, we stayed in The House Next Door again this time and just loved it. The rooms are so cozy and warm as are the staff. We quickly meet our neighbours and shared a few laughs and then headed over to the Barely Room Pub for a wonderful dinner with our new... More

I stayed in the new buildings and overall the room was decent . Big flaw was the noise . It seems the walls are made of paper. I could literally hear EVERYTHING in next room and they werent screaming. It was just talking but it kept me up till 2 am . If you are looking for peaceful sleep dont... More

We had a really nice stay with a couple of small exceptions. The service in Amelia's Garden Restaurant was excellent, especially on Friday night when it was less busy. Food was good too. We were a bit disappointed that the menu didn't change from Fri to Sat, but there were enough choices to not duplicate anything. The room was great... More

There was no record of our reservation when we arrived. The clerk was very pleasant and gave us an upgraded room in one of the new buildings. The room was huge, too big really to feel cozy and looked out onto a parking lot. If you are looking for a relaxing view, there aren't many to be had at Waring... More

Dear Guest: I read your review with sadness but wish to thank you for giving us some excellent suggestions for improvement. We really do take customer comments to heart. I will be following up on the missed reservation. You should have been given a confirmation number and received an emailed confirmation for your room. I will check why that did... More

We had a most exceptional long weekend at the Waring House. Stayed in The House Next Door with a giant jet tub and fireplace in our room. Ate at the Barley Room Pub both evenings, and particularly enjoyed the band The Sidekicks. Food was great. X-Country skied on the Millennium Trail, and at Sandbanks. The entire weekend was fabulous; we... More

My wife and I stayed in the Quaker building, and had a great weekend, getting away from our two little ones. Overall experience of Waring house was " very good" BUT , very oddly, the rooms are not well designed from a noise standpoint, as we could hear our neighbors in the next room as "plain as day". They were... More
