I have been a back pack adventure type all my life. I grew up in the Sierra's around Lake Tahoe and traveled the world and most of BC from Haida Guai to Sooke, exploreing and sleeping rough. In my late 60's, the spirit of adventure is still strong, but the spine has lost a bit of its flexibility. I can't... More

My husband and I decided on a getaway at Cathedral for our honeymoon and really enjoyed the whole experience - from the spectacular hiking trails, beautiful views, delicious food, warm, cozy environment at the lodge - And, the 35 relatives who came with us also enjoy it very much! This happened a few years ago, and will always be considered... More

I turned 50 last summer and decided to take our family to Cathedral Lakes. We thought the truck ride to camp was the real Indiana Jones thrill and on the first day hiked a short route only to be chased back to our cabin with horizontal rain/hail, lightning and cold winds. This was late July and we were thankful for... More

I was wanting to go the area, the lodge for a long long time! finally last year my husband and I went. Someone had told me that you must go and see the Alpine Flowers. We went in Early August. Yes the ride up the mountain was bumpy but exciting at the same time! The difference in air temprature was... More

The lodge is in a spectacular setting on Quiniscoe Lake in Cathedral Lakes Provincial Park. The ride up the gravel/dirt road is a bumpy one-hour adventure. If you go late in the season be prepared to dress warmly for the ride, which may be in an open-air truck. Our lodge room had a spectacular view of the lake and mountains... More

The lodge is way, way up in the mountains and definitely away from everything. Perfect getaway! Our trip was an adventure from beginning to end and was fun all the way through. The cabin we stayed in was rustic and more than expected for this type of lodge. The main lodge has the most fantastic common area with books, games,... More

My friend Len and I spent 4 days at the Lodge. As we were there to hike as much as possible we elected to make our own breakfast and carry our lunch in our day pack. We bought our dinner at the Lodge. Both of us have food allergies and the kitchen staff were very acommodating in making tasty dishes... More

My wife and I recently spent a few days here. The experience started out with an adventurous trek up a steep road in a 4x4 truck that winds up the mountain to the Lodge. The driver was courteous, friendly, and safe. You really get a sense of how high up in the mountains the Lodge is, and I think this... More

We stayed at the lodge, the location is amazing butThere is a huge difference beatween rustic and rundown, the lodge is expensive, cabins are rundown, we were woken up at 5am in the morning by the sound of the truck, idling for 15mins and polluting our cabin, next day same problem despite complaining to the owner. Do not stay at... More
