Picked on proximity to next day's business, but an impressive room and facilities, friendly owner, competent food, excellent ale and a great price. I was the only guest that night, but would happily return and perhaps use it as a base for a leisure trip to the Broads/Norfolk coast. Very pleased. More

Ate here on Saturday night. (12th Nov) Excellent food and good service from the young man whom I think is the son of the landlady!! Not many people in when we were there but still a very relaxed atmosphere. I would recommend the Great Danes More

When you arrive it's a bit disconcerting that the place is probably closed (the bar/restaurant only opens evenings at 6.30 and for a couple of hours Sunday lunchtime) but fear not. The location is idyllic - on the village green with a beautiful church and quintessential english country cottages (roses round the door, hollyhocks, doves - you get the picture).... More

What can I say? I stay on business in a lot of hotels around the UK. Sometimes you need to get out of the rut of Holiday Inn & Ramada chains and get back to a place which is quirky, prepares fantastic wholesome food that is bad for your calorie controlled diet but great on the tastebuds. I stayed in... More

This cosy, comfortable inn is perfect for anyone exploring Norfolk. We arrived at the pre arranged time we said we would and although the pub was closed at that time, we rang the bell and were welcomed and shown our rooms. My elderly mother was also travelling with us and she was able to have a room on the ground... More

Overnight stay in area whilst on business. Quiet location with good staff and food. Tidy and spacious room with WIFI access. Would be happy to stay here again here if working in this location. More

I've stayed here on and off for some time, never had an issue, always great service. Good food too. The two best rooms are in the converted barn next to the main building, the rooms inside are nicely decorated too, but sometimes it's spoiled by the fact that you can hear your neighbours, but that's the only criticism I can... Stayed one night when in the area on business. Arrived at about 20.30. Welcomed by the proprieter. Met up with friends to eat - good choice and good food. The proprieter carried my bag to my room and provided a newspaper (I had forgotten to buy one). My single room was a good size and comfortably furnished. The ensuite shower... More

We booked this through E Bay not really knowing what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised. We found the Inn in the middle of a secluded village overlooking the village green. The restaurant offered a variety of home cooked food and a choice of reasonably priced wine. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming and the owner made recommendations as... More
