Absolutely fell in Love with Lunenburg and the Bluenose Inn B & B while visiting this picturesque town!! The Inn is in a great location and within walking distance to downtown and the Museum of the Atlantic, which is definitely a must see, as well as all the gorgeous shops and restaurants!! We originally had a room booked in the... More

We stayed at this beautiful bed and breakfast in august of this year. There were 4 of us, my friend and I and our two Mothers....a much needed girls trip. Our hostess Andrea was there to greet us and make sure we had everything we needed after a long day of touring. Our Moms were tired and really in need... More

Andrea is a great hostess. Our room #1 was good ,clean & a excellent value overall. The breakfasts were good & we enjoyed the town of Lunenburg again. The only problem with the room is that the bed is too high making it difficult for older or people with a disability to get up ,although she did provide a stool.The... More

This beautiful bed and breakfast was decorated tastefully in the Victorian era style. We were greatly impressed at the big, beautiful exterior and were not disappointed once inside. Upon arrival we were greeted at the front entrance by the wonderful hostess, who provided us with a map and directions, plus tips on where to eat, in Lunenberg. The bonus: we... More

This inn offered an elegant, comfortable, and personalized atmosphere. It is set in the heart of "Old Town" Lunenburg, which is a world heritage site. The building itself has managed to retain historical preservation and traditional style, while at the same time integrating modern luxuries. Keeping with this, the room was perfect! It was so pretty and open, and everything... More

Our family had a wonderful stay at the Bluenose Lodge. The Inn Keeper was very attentive to our needs, helped us with directions, even booked a table at a restaurant in town for us. Traveling with a family is difficult at times and Andrea was very sensitive to the fact that we needed family friendly restaurants and activities during our... More

My fiance and I stayed here on a romantic getaway this past month and LOVED IT! The Inn is incredible. It's got incredible character as I think the Inn is about 150 years old or so, and very grand, yet warm and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious and the Inn keeper was lovely. She had excellent recommendations on what shops and... More

Part of the reason we like to stay in b & b's is to get to know our hosts. This was not the case at this 'lodge' as the owners like to distance themselves from the business as they do not live on site. We found the place to have a cold atmosphere, we were never asked if our room... More

Thank you for the constructive comments. We as the owners live in a neighboring property. The Bluenose Lodge and Carriage House is an Inn. It is a collection of 13 rooms with private bathrooms, multiple sitting areas and a large banquet room. Although we offer a free breakfast, the Bluenose Lodge is not a Bed and Breakfast. Typically B&B operations... More

We arrived very late (due to fantastic Canadian hospitality earlier) and found a problem, but this was sorted out amiciably , and the gift of a bottle of wine certainly helped !.... ..yes this is an old building which will have problems.....as earlier reviews have pointed out...... but if we are this way again we will stay again....and Lunenburg is... Very nice building on a well maintained property. Our room was a couple of floors up by stairs and the husband of the owner helped carrying the luggage which was great service. The room was simple, the bathroom very small and very smelly because of the shower curtain which from our point of view could better be replaced. In the... More
