I stayed here and found it more than adequate. The only drawback is that there is no restaurant on the premises but there are plenty in the surrounding area. The place is very clean, room was very clean, beds were excellent, The breakfast was lovely, nice little eating area and everything you might need from cereal to bagels, muffins etc... More

Stayed in one of the indoor access rooms, basic hotel but clean, firm beds. The staff were very friendly and attentive, breakfast was great, wide variety of great quality food. The pool and waterside were however across the street but well worth the visit. Only downside were howling wolves (dogs?) sporadically throughout the night More

We went to book into the Super 8 across the road as the reviews were great for it...however it was booked except for the themed rooms which I am sure would excite the youngsters however this was a business trip and comfort had a lot to do with our choices and the themed rooms were dark and smallish. The "adult... More

Pretty standard motel, well kept up. Floorboards a little noisy and traffic noise on the street all night long. A light sleeper might find it a problem but we didn't. Free breakfast with the room. More

We were sent here from the Super 8 because it was full. We were happy they were. We had a great room, a great breakfast and excellent service. Bonus that we could use the pool at the Super 8 while staying here. Room was very roomy with a small kitchen area that served us well. internet was fast and reliable.... More

Great stay at the Fireside! The rooms were clean and well presented. The hotel offers free breakfast which included freshly made waffles, muffins and fruit. I appreciated the free high speed internet too. More

This is our second stay here at the motel. The first time we were on the second floor room #201. The shower head was the best I've ever experienced and the bed was comfortable. The microwave and fridge was a bonus for sure. The floor was really squeaky and the room in general was run down, BUT clean overall. The... More

We stayed at the Fireside Inn in Castlegar in March for hockey provincials. The hotel, as stated in other reviews, was a little bit older, but very well maintained. We had an Executive Suite on the upper level. The room was very spacious and had really comfy beds! Breakfast was great too, with tons of stuff to eat. Plus, they... More

Travelling around the kootenays with work we stayed at this hotel in castlegar which was near the highway but on a side road. Check in was quick and efficient, as stated in other reviews the rooms were a bit dark however were decent sized and the kitchen area would have been more useful if their were pots and pans as... We stayed here for just the 1 night. The room we had was very cramped and extremely dark, it was out the back of the hotel. The price we paid for the quality of the room seemed high compared to others we stayed at during our 3 weeks in Canada. The best part of the stay was that the kids... More
