We enjoy the location close to the market and have stayed here many times. Although undergoing renovations the hotel is still very functional and our room was clean, quiet and well equipped with a fridge and coffee maker. This hotel is under extensive renos in order to become a Marriot. Travellers should be aware of this prior to booking, but sadly, nothing on their website indicates this. You may still choose to stay, but don't expect the normal experience. Scheduled to complete their renos some time in Jan 12. More

I've stayed here a couple of times for work and have thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a wee bit on the pricey side, but you really do get what you're paying for. Pros: Good price, nice location, great breakfast included, Wi-Fi works well. Appeared to have gotten a renovated room which included a flat screen TV and a large shower in place of the tub. Best Westerns can be hit and miss, but when they're called the "Best Western St. Jacobs Country Inn" at least it SOUNDS like it's got a chance.
