Loved our stay here. Ppl at reception were very friendly, suggested on places to visit and eat. Printed out route maps from internet. I liked the welcome cookie and the travel gift pack which had branded stuff like Dove soap, icy hot cream, etc... Room and bathroom were clean. Had ample supply of coffee bags with microwave and fridge in... More

There's almost nothing to complain about. I went to the lake on an unseasonably warm mid-May weekend and paid only $36 a night. It's much higher during peak season and deservedly so. The location is great, about four blocks to the casinos, etc. and about a half mile to the private beach to which guests have access. The bed was... More

dont tag the motorcycles with parking violations. Its very difficult to display parking passes on them. Ours was the only bike parked there that weekend so it shouldn't have too hard to notice when we checked in More

Took the South Lake Tahoe Express from Reno airport and dropped off at Harvey's Casino. One block walk to Big Pines. Easy check in. Clean room. Housekeeping came every day. Beds were comfortable and my teen son loved the choice of 5 pillows. Heavenly Gondola, casinos in Nevada and main drag of South Lake Tahoe, CA 1 block walk. Supermarket... More

I just stayed at Big Pines in March to attend a wedding. The place is has many things going for it. 1) Its cheaper then many other places around it. (~$50/nt) 2) Its close to the Heavenly Gondola and Marriott Hotel (a block or 2 away) 3) Its close to the State Line Casino Harvey's and Harrah's (a block away)... More

Short and sweet: Location: The best. Right across from the casinos pinned up to the stateline. One block off the main road enabling us to get a great night sleep. Room: Good size room to lay 2 sets of skis down and still have room to walk around. The bed was comfy and maid service came each day. The old... More

I stayed in the King Sized Room with cooking amenities. Ideal location, close to the main Heavenly shops and gondola. Clean environment with Room serviced daily, bed made and bins cleared etc. Room was cosey with a gas fire, temperature controlled. Nice when coming in from the cold slopes. Building structure does not have much in the way of noise... More

We are trying to purchase a home in Tahoe and in the last month have stayed here on three separate occasions for several nights. The front desk staff is welcoming and informative. The rooms are simple yet enough, especially for how economical this hotel is. The beds are very comfortable (there are two types of pillows for those picky about... More
