This is one of the best campsites that I have ever had the pleasure to visit. It is very well maintained and the owners obviously realise that they have to continually make changes to ensure that their guests have a pleasurable holiday and will return again and again- I certainly will- but not sure that I should be telling everyone,... Our motorcycle club held an event here on the weekend of April 27-29, 2012. We're a bunch of folks ranging from mid-20s to mid-60s in age. I've been to many such rallies over the years, but I can honestly say I've never been at a better site in the Republic (and few as good anywhere else). The mobile homes were... More

We just spent the weekend in one of the new 'Glamping Microlodges' in River Valley park. We loved it, they are small but compact. Has a double and two single beds with small cooking area, picnic table area outside. It is really lovely, looks a bit like a gyspy caravan but no wheels. Our son loved it, and as they... More

Thank you for your review on the microlodges. They are new to the site this year and it is great to hear back from somebody who has rented them. We love the Glamping concept are looking to expand our Glamping options even further this year with kukoo huts. Hope to see you back checking them out. More

Im not going to beat around the bush on this one . This site has really gone downhill over the last number of years . I will never set foot in the place again . I have been here on a number of occasions over the last few seasons but never again ..A truly dreadful place . It amazes me... More

It is very sad to hear that a regular customer of ours has decided not to return. Over 70 % of our business is return customers and without them we would have to close the gates. We have a very strict policy on drinking and making noise after 11 pm and the few familiies who do not respect their fellow... More

Well we arrived at River Valley for the Easter break and we were all so excited as it was our first caravan holiday with our new tourer. We arrived and were told to pitch were we wanted. The site was over run with kids so getting the caravan through the site was a mine field. We eventually found a spot... More

We are absolutely shocked and disappointed with your recent review as so many customers called into reception and complimented us on a wonderful Easter break. We can not understand how anybody could say our park was dirty and overcrowded. The toilet and shower blocks were cleaned over six times each day, the grass was just mowed and we had somebody... Our family stayed in the cabin for a week and we returned to-day - we didn't want to leave. The cabin was excellent, large sittingroom/kitchen area, 3 bedrooms(third a tiny boxroom), and two bathrooms, dishwasher ,central heatingetc. Lovely veranda and decking area. We had lovely view of the golf course and were beside the tennis courts and a couple of... More

My parents brought us here every summer when we were kids. The chipper and TV/games room were the memories which stand out, along with the trips to the beach. Fast forward thirty years and I'm bringing my own kids and the facilites are brilliant. Par 3 golf for the adults, crazy golf for the childers. Kids loved the petting corner.... More

We have camped in nearly every caravan park in Ireland but keep coming back to River Valley. As far as we are concerned its tops, ticks all the boxes we want for an enjoyable break for ourselves and the family. Friendly staff, well kept toilet and shower blocks which are cleaned five or six times a day. Good restaurant reasonably... More

My wife and I spent 4 nights at River Valley in mid-August last year. We stayed in "Secret Garden", an area of the park which is for adults only. It suited us perfectly - no kids, no footballs, no bikes, just peace and quiet. Even the pub restaurant called Mickey Finns had an adult section where we ate each evening.... More

Went to river valley for years and i must say the treatment that people are getting is nothing new and the trouble around the site was the same when i stayed there. You will never get the truth from the owners and they say they depend on campers returning is not true either. It is one of the only sites... More
