Our last hotel in Mexico on the Copper Canyon train circuit was the best. Good air conditioning (you'll need it). Close to the market and more reasonable eating options. My only complaint is that although they have a computer, they won't let you print out a boarding pass on it. More

A traditional Spanish colonial house and courtyard converted into a hotel. Very atmospheric, comfortable and relaxing. Staff friendly (particularly El Zorro himself), and a great place to get away from the concrete and steel hotels in some other parts of Mexico. More

This is apparently where Zorro used to live. The hotel is an old colonial mansion in the middle of El Fuerte and exudes old world charm. The rooms are basic but adequate. The restaurant is particularly atmospheric and the food is good. The staff are also very good and friendly and add to the experience. More

We were on a tour with the Balderrama Group. Cannot say enough about how organized & friendly their people were on the Copper Canyon tour. Alfredo, who picked us up & actually dropped us off at the conclusion of our trip was wonderful. Dinner at this hotel was excellent. Town is very safe to walk around in. More
