Despite the other recent reviews, decided this was a convenient half-way location to meet up with an old friend for lunch. It was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and the food was good (which we enjoyed next to the log fire - despite it being the middle of May, it was only 11C outside today). If you are... Me and a group of my friends went here for New Years Eve. We had a lovely three course meal, it was amazing. The staff were excellent. I would defiantly recommend this to my friends and family. Great place in a great location.

We booked in for afternoon tea as it was a wedding anniversary gift from a friend. The hotel setting is charming. Upon arrival the receptionist advised us to "make ourselves known" at the bar. The waitress advised us that we could sit anywhere as there were only 2 other sets of guests in attendance. The brightest available area was the... More

As a frequent business traveller I spend most of my time in hotels around this area. I booked this last minute as it had a good rate, looked nice and the Marco Pierre label created high hopes for the food. The hotel itself is in a pleasant location. After trawling through the hotel to find a member of staff due... More

Ok. A bit of a odd hotel this one. It looks lovely but in truth it's a bit run down needs a lick of paint and new furniture beds etc etc We stayed here in may for the bank holiday for two nights and were disappointed. First of all we booked a suite after seeing the lovely photos online of... More

Second visit to the frogmill inn, once again it was amazing. All staff were friendly pleasant and helpful, food was delightful and extremely tasty. We visited the local shooting school and had a great time learning the techniques to shooting. And came back for afternoon tea at the frogmil inn which is not to be missed with its yummy cakes... We were given a voucher to stay at the Frogmill for our silver wedding anniversary, driving to the venue I started to read the reviews and my heart sank as they were so negative. On arrival we were wowed by the outside which is very picturesque. Check in was smooth and friendly and we were shown to our spacious room... More

We came here for a wedding, and have to say, it was a beautiful day, the venue itself is gorgeous and the food was superb, however our room was old and dated with damp in the bathroom and around the windows. Sadly in need of a lick of paint at the very least!

Must say that our dinner was really really good - no complaints here Rooms were very cold, even though it was 21 degrees we still needed the heating on! Bathroom was very tired Could be a really great place to stay but would need a lot of cash to upgrade

On the face of it, this may look like a charming olde worlde hotel, but beware. It's noisy, unfriendly, the service is terrible and many of the rooms are freezing cold. I find it hard to believe that marco Pierre white has put his name to this dump. The noise from the bar pollutes many of the rooms, the wind... More
