Aard Oakleigh, has by a country mile been the best place I have ever stayed. The room was absolutely first rate & spotless, with a comfy bed. June the owner provided a wonderful Irish welcome, & was most thoughtful when catering for our needs. Breakfast was most definitely one of my highlights. Fresh baked Soda Bread & Scones to die... We stayed here for two nights on October 1, 2011. Our room was immaculate with a double and single bed and beautiful view through corner windows. On the desk was a bottle of water, cookies and more. The breakfast was our best Irish breakfast with homemade granola and hot scones. June game me the recipe for both items, and she... More

Aard Oakleigh was our favorite B&B by far on our trip. June (the proprietor) was awesome, and has put so much thought and care into every small detail. The room was the largest and most comfortable that we stayed in on our trip, and the bathroom was wonderful as well (offering a full bath!). The yard/grounds were stunning, with fruit... More

The Aard Oakleigh B&B was a great choice just a few miles from Kilkenny in Bennetbridge. The room was excellent, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast was a great full Irish Breakfast. The lady who ran the place was friendly and very helpful. The closest restaurant was recommended by the owner in the next town of Thomasville. More

While this was our last stop during our nine day tour of the southeast region of the country, we wish we could have extended our stay in the quaint village of Bennettsbridge at June's Aard Oakleigh home. This B&B was the perfect location to explore Kilkenny, Thomastown and Waterford with many talented local craftsman (potters, candlemakers, leather works, chocolate candymakers... More

This place is in a wonderful location, just out of Kilkenny, really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were comfortable and quite large with large bathroom as well. June is a lovely and very helpful host - her restaurant recommendations were fantastic! We would happily stay here again when in the area :) More

Aard Oakleigh is a wonderful place to stay. June is the kindest person, so hospitable and generous! Her breakfasts are amazing! Eggs are from her own chickens. The scones and brown bread are so delicious! The location is great. Just a short drive to Kilkenny or Thomastown. A great place to base your stay and take short day trips. June... More

I have been to Ireland six times and have stayed in more than 40 B&B's. I can say without a doubt that Aard Oakleigh is one of the best B&B's in Ireland. June is one of the nicest most hospitable people you'll ever meet! The rooms are wonderful and the food is excellent! (The best brown bread and scones in... More

In September I took ny daughter, Missy (for her B-Day) and her daughter (my granddaughter for graduation gift) to Ireland. We couldn't find a B&b in Kilkenny and Missy called Joan and ask if she took vouchers, she did and had a room for us. It had been a long day and we were tired, when we drove up and... More
