The Hacienda is an exceptional place. An exquisite hotel with beautiful grounds, all situated within view of an active volcano. Rooms are large and furnished with Mexican antiques. The food is organic, delicious and mostly supplied by the Estate. Tours of the Estate are possible and I would highly recommend them. Service is attentive and friendly. Yes, this hotel is... More

This hotel is not even rateable. We were guests at a 40th birthday party. We have stayed at top chain hotels and have never had the staff anticipate our needs. We never had to request a thing! During the day at the pool dishes of fresh mango and fruits kept arriving. Then trays of margaritas, then lunch poolside. You rarely... More

Hacienda de San Antonio is one of a kind. (It is such a favorite of mine -- ten visits in ten years -- that I have actually been reluctant to write it up before now.) It combines natural beauty, a magnificent building, a warm welcome and a platform for refined relaxation. The hotel was built as a private and very... More

A beautiful and famous location with great history. I would recommend to combine a short stay at the Hacienda with a nice beach holiday (at Cuixmala or FS Punta Mita). The food was excellent. The service sometimes seemed a bit untrained and some of the staff lacking English skills. I hear that this was better, when the hotel was still... More

Under the volcano! This place is heaven on earth. Rooms beautifully furnished, high wooden cealings, lovely bathrooms, patios , terraces, gardens, an olympic size swimming pool, internet connection, very attentionate staff. The excursion on horses in the neerby Ravali estate around lagunas surrended by steep hills covered with tropical trees, the bamboo forest , the water falls, the picnic with... More

My 12 year old son and I spent an exceptional 4 nights at the Hacienda de San Antonio in February, 2010. This is an extraordinary place. If you can afford it, by all means stay here. With the onset of winter at home, my family and I often look for a long weekend somewhere warm in February over my son’s... More

This hotel is an oasis of paradice in the middle of Mexico. We had a 4 day family anniversary celebration at the hacienda. The beautiful gardens, wonderful home grown coffee and food, lovely rooms, great staff and puffing volcano made our event one we will cherish forever. More

My husband and I spent half of our honeymoon at the Hacienda and could not have asked for a more romantic, luxurious, and perfect stay. The Hacienda is immaculate, with stately and gorgeous rooms, beautifully maintained grounds, and plenty of stunning shared spaces. The service is exceptional and every staff member we encountered was helpful and kind. If you're not... More

My friend and I spent 3 nights at the Hacienda after staying at Cuixmala, the sister property located about 2.5 hours away. We had a wonderful stay--lounging by the pool, horseback riding through the orchards, picnicking in some of the most picturesque settings, watching DVDs in the cozy entertainment room and drinking on the rooftop patio. We also learned how... More

I stayed at Hacienda de San Antonio after exploring the wonderful colonial cities of San Miguel de Allende and Guanjuato and it was perfect. Excellent food, huge bedrooms, tennis court, huge swimming pool, riding and birding. It is so romantic and extemely relaxing. It is a truly special place. I loved it and would definitely go back.
