Having found this B&B by chance we couldn't have asked for more, we highly recommend you stay here. There's is always a warm, friendly welcome. We have enjoyed stays in a number of rooms which are to high standards. The beds are REALLY comfortable, room 1's matresses are hand-made!! The decor is classic country style. The breakfast is cooked to... More

Having looked at previous reviews on Trip Advisor we were pleased with what we had read but wondered why there had been no reviews for two years. We needn't have worried ! We arrived on Saturday morning after a long drive and having turned off the main road into a quiet country lane we were very pleased to see this... More

My husband and I were greeted with a warm welcome and smile from Jenny at 10:00 pm the night we arrived. Seeing that we were tired and possibly hungry she immediately offered us a snack and some hot tea. The farmhouse is a beautiful home in a picturesque enviroment. Just what we wanted and was portrayed on the website. Looking... More

My partner & I stayed overnight at Barrows Farmhouse en-route to Cornwall on a dinner, bed and breakfast deal. The rooms were exactly as they appear on the website - and the surrounding gardens (with llama? farm in the next field) were terrific. Jennie's home cooking is wonderful - and the breakfast the following morning was equally delicious. I would... More

I have just returned from my stay in England and it was my first experience in a b&b and thanks to Jennie and Ellis the owners it won't be my last ! I didn't want to go to a hotel because apart from always being too expensive ( and usually not worth the money) I wanted somewhere more homely. I... More

We had a lovely stay here, so warm and friendly, with stunning views from our room which we didn't want to leave behind. Breakfast was excellent, one of the best B & B's we have stayed in and would recommend to anybody. We will deffiantly be going back. Jim & Debbie Field Harrow, Middlesex More

I was really happy with my stay over the September month. The proprietors were only too pleased to be helpful. Both the rooms I stayed in were well presented and clean. More

We stayed at this guest house in early August 2008. It is a wonderful house, built for the first Lord Portman in the 19th century. We found the location ideal for visiting National Trust properties in the surrounding area. The owners made us very welcome, the rooms were comfortable and stylish, and breakfast was excellent with local produce. We opted... More
