Having stayed in the Finch Bay Eco Hotel on Santa Cruz, arriving at the Red Mangrove was underwhelming. No arrangements had been made to meet us on arrival at the port, on arrival at the hotel the staff did not have any details about tours which were available through the hotel so we had to wait a couple of hours...

We spent two here and we recieved the best service of the trip here! I have a wheat/gluten allergy and the resturant brought me special deserts every night!! I was really impressed because rheother islands just let me choose on my own, but they did check for wheat ingrediants when i asked.

The Red Mangrove Isabela Divers Lodge is a very short walk along the beach from the main hotel and restaurant. The rooms are simle but nice. Hammocks are available beachside at the botel, and are a nice way to spend the afternoon watching the waves at the beach.
The restaurant had very good food, and was better than the food...

This is a part of Darwin's triangle tour with red mangrove. The room is probably larger than suite del mare that we stay in Santa Cruz albeit with more basic furnishing. The beach is quite peaceful with plenty of iguanas and red crab. The food was as good as the restaurant in Santa Cruz lodge. The afternoon trip to see...

We stayed two consecutive nights in a room at the Isabela Divers lodge as part of a Red Mangrove tour (full tour report at http://http://nmcgalapagos.blogspot.com/). The divers lodge was a very short walk on the beach away from the main lodge; there is one building dividing the two.
The lodge was beachfront with some really great views, especially if you...

We stayed at the Isabela Lodge for 3 nights on the 8 day/7 night "Full Adventure" tour package. We would highly recommend this package, and will focus on the specifics of the Isabela Lodge in this review.
Facility: Situated right on the beach, towards the eastern end of Puerto Villamil. Unless you eat outdoors, the dining room has limited views...

Stayed as part of the 5 night triangle tour. Hotel is perfectly situated on the beach. Only 16 rooms. Rooms are spciaous and cottager like. No need to pay extra for an upgrade. Friendly staff. Not all speak fluent English.
Next door to the hotel is a house with a rooster. Starts making noise before the sunrise and then throught...

Dear Richard,
Regarding the roaster I understand your frustration unfortunately there is no too much we can do about. It seems like it is part of the Isabela island culture to have a roaster because almost every family in town has one. I personally experienced the noise caused by this bird so once again I apologize. On the other hand...

Stayed a total of 5 nights here with a women's tour group. The rooms are spacious. Our rooms all had 2 double size beds in each and were very comfortable. Rooms have A/C for those who can't live without it. Rooms also have private en-suite bathrooms with nice showers. Hotel is located right on the beach. It's really an oasis...

We were on a Friendly Planet tour (www.friendlyplanet.com) tour to the Galapagos and this is where they placed us for the third leg of our journey. See our review for the Red Mangrove Adventure Lodge and the Red Mangrove Diver’s Lodge. And the Red Mangrove Floriana Lodge. The restaurant and food was average. Service was friendly and efficient. The room...
