On arrival, we went for a very pleasant walk to the lake and round the pretty village. I imagine the area is very busy in the season, but in early October it was beautifully quiet. Our room was small, but clean and comfortable. Dinner was a delicious meal, although the service was fussy and over formal for this type of... More

We only stayed one night at this hotel on our way to Italy. Despite high expectations we were disappointed. Our room was small and charmless and we had not realised that the hotel would be such a long way from the lake (reservoir) so that none of the rooms, nor the grounds of the hotel, would offer any view of... I picked this out using Tripadvisor because of its location halfway back from Annecy to Calais. I wanted a nice comfortable room and good food. I was not disappointed with the excellent food at both evening meal and breakfast. The service is formal in keeping with the Chef's Michelin background. However the food lived up to that and was excellent... More

We enjoyed our brief stay at this reasonably priced Logis. It is handily placed in a quiet village, but within easy reach of the motorways and Troyes. The lake is not in sight, but only a 10-15 minute stroll through the pretty village. The room was small but comfortable. We enjoyed an excellent dinner in the restaurant, and a good... More

We were recommended this hotel and were very disappointed. I had booked a room with logis on-line at a cost of 78 euros but was shown to a room directly on the main road so asked for a quieter room. The "upgrade" cost 127 euros but had no a/c, no shower, and no kettle. The cost of a black coffee... More

Stayed for 2 nights whilst seeing Troyes and the Foret d'Orient. Beautiful building with quality fittings. Room well equipped and bathroom as you would expect. The food is top quality but, for us , a bit pricey. Staff helpful and friendly and they didn't automatically use English which was great. Breakfast was not a buffet which is rare these days... More

Nice place, friendly and with large comfortable rooms. Quiet village, the lake is within walking distance. We didn't eat in the hotel as we wanted to see Troyes. Breakfast was good but a little over priced at €13pp. A good bet though. More

We stopped here one night driving back from Switzerland to UK. Hadn't booked in advance so were lucky they had three single rooms for us. Pretty, comfortable room in a hotel with plenty of character for 69 Euros each. Breakfast was excellent. Be aware that the restaurant is not cheap - the cheapest fixed price menu was 40 Euros -... We paid 110 Euros the night for the room (breakfast and dinner on top) for a weekend stay. I hadn't done much research beforehand of the area (it was a quickly organised weekend out of Paris - the idea of being in Champagne, next to a pretty lake, albeit an artificial one, sounded great - of course, we only found... Have recently stayed here for the third time. A member of Logis de France, this Auberge is superbly situated close to the Lac D'Orient and only 10 miles east of Junction23 of the A26 and 6 miles north of Junction 22 of the A5. This makes it a superb stopover if travelling south from the Channel ports. Having said that,... More
