Hogenakkal is a tiny settlement on the Tamilnadu - Karnataka border where the River Cauvery creates a splendid and beautiful water falls. The city survives only on tourism and has about a dozen odd hotels. Hotel Tamilnadu is the biggest hotel in Hogenakkal and is owned by the Tamilnadu government's tourism department. People who visited hogenakkal might know that it is a very small tourist town with lot of hotels/lodge which lack a great deal of quality.
