I visited argent d'or at close house for a birthday meal, the stand out was the wine which was lovely and great value, the amuse bouche was nice (salad had a delicious dressing) starter of black pudding was very tasty and the trio of northumberland lamb was excellent. The service was good and we'll certainly be back.

Stayed in the Courtyard on first floor,cracking room,spacious,beamed ceilings,stunning bathroom just everything spot on! The only comment would be the usual poor tray of tea/coffee items, which is exactly what you find in every other run of the mill hotel,they maybe could have raised their standard on this.
