Stayed there for 2 months when on business in Northampton. Felt at home immediately with the friendly staff in a cosy and warm atmosphere. Breakfast was good and a huge variety on the menu for supper.

An excellent overnight stay for the whole family(two double rooms)...Hotel was clean and well presented...Staff courteous and helpful.Breakfast was superb and the evening meal(despite the bank holiday mania) was reasonably priced and well presented. Thoroughly recommended.

My wife and I stopped off here whilst on a journey along the M1 (south). The place isn't too far from the motorway and appears to be family run. The decor is average for a public house type restaurant and the staff are young, warm and friendly. An advert at the front of house was seeking 'Table Servers' so we... More

saturday evening, firstly had problems parking, the bar was heaving, waited ages to get a drink. We then went to our table and boy were we squashed in like sardines. Then you have to get back up to order your meal and queue at the bar again. Then fight your way back to your table.Every time you want a drink, its back to the bar.The waiting... We have eaten in the resaurant at the Pychley on an number of occasions and always found the food to be of a good standard and enjoyable. The service however on the last couple of visits has been dissapointing. Some of the staff seem to be going through the motions and appear to be fed up. This is a shame... More

Stayed here solo for two nights for a relative's wedding and was delighted with the choice. Lovely, comfortable room (the walk up was good for me!) with a beautiful bathroom. Breakfast both days was delicious - great variety with vegetarian options - and the dinner menu was yummy too. Very helpful staff - thank you to all. Convenience store right... More

Have always enjoyed this restaurant until today. Don't know whether there just wasn't enough staff or chefs, or a combination, but we waited 45 minutes for our 2 starters and another 40 minutes for the main course. The staff even kept looking at our table, as if to say where's their food! My husband and I chose a blackboard special,... More

Have been to this restaurant on a number of occassions and have always been impressed with the food especially the steaks. My last visit was with colleagues from abroad, they were also impressed. The menu is extensive and I have never experienced a bad meal. If you want a good feed this is the place to go. My one complaint... More

Thank you so much for taking the time to review The Pytchley, and for your kind comments about our food. I think your comment about waiting to order food at the bar is fair, although this is a tried and tested system which we have found mostly works well for us, and more importantly for our customers. Since we offer... More

The room we were allocated was on the second floor, it was a large room but sadly in need of a re vamp. The wood chip wall paper was an uninspiring sludge green, the papered ceiling was sagging away from the surface quite badly where there had been a leak. The bathroom was circa.1970. There was nowhere in the bathroom... More

Oh dear - I am so sorry that your stay with us was so disappointing. As you can see from other reviews, the vast majority of guests that stay at The Pytchley have a distinctly different experience from yours. A programme of refurbishment bringing our rooms up to date is almost complete. You point out in your review that your... More

Due to the snow cancelling the planned supermarket delivery we treated the family to a Sunday night roast. Our children rarely eat meat but were adamant they would eat a full roast with one of them insisting on having the full adult sized meal. As I was feeling generous I allowed this and was quite surprised how far the boy... More
