We were greeted by a lovely Lady on reception - she showed us to our room and helped us with our luggage. The room was nicely decorated and spotless, The breakfast was the best i have ever had (in a hotel) - there was an option of having the full english with or without meat. I had the meatless version... More

I attended the same lunch as Roger H & Julie H. I thought about the same as them. felt sorry for my relative who had arranged "the long time since we had seen each other get together" she was embarrassed by the poor service. In all fairness my meal wasn't bad.

My partner and I stayed here after attending a wedding at Wasing Park. Obviously very close to Wasing Park so was very handy. Staff were very friendly and organised taxis to and from the wedding venue. Room was clean and well appointed. Breakfast was good. Nice, old hotel.

I had Cod and chips. The food was served on a cold plate and the fish had bones in it. For £9.50 I thought this was a bit of a rip off. The Service was very much a 'Take it or leave it' attitude from the waitress serving our party of eleven. When asked for the dessert menu the waitress... More

Just got back from a family reunion meal. The location and eating areas are lovely. However, the waiting staff, and a few of the meals leave a lot to be desired. Our main waitress seemed to see us as an inconvenience, and when we tried to order coffees she advised us that she was on a break. For the first... More

Had a great meal here, in the week this pub makes it's money by selling beds to business travellers, and maybe ,maybe its lost some of it's local clientele. This is a shame, because the pub has charm, character, good food and nice staff. The food is far better than the overrated Rowbarge, and the service stars above The Berkshire Arms.... More

We called ahead to book a table but they said don't worry it will be relaxed just arrive..... So the venue was reasonably welcoming and so were the ants but less so the staff! The table we were on was a constantly providing us with a steady supply of ants....we mentioned it to the waitress who didn't offer to move... More

As a family we occupied 8 rooms as we needed somewhere to stay after a wedding at Wasing Park. This Hotel is 400 years old and filled with character. The rooms were clean, the staff and management were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was exceptional. We all agreed that we would definitely go back.

I stayed here with my boyfriend after a wedding at Wasing Park. It is well situated for a number of wedding venues in the area. Overall we had a good stay. We were one of the rooms in an outhouse on the opposite side of the car park to the pub itself. It was very quiet and the room was... More

I have eaten here many times over the last few years and food has always been very good, however I visited last week with my wife and the food was very bland and tasteless with tiny portions, but sadly still with a high price tag. We actually had to cook supper later in the evening at home and we are not... More
