Stayed for three nights - long enough for a proper impression. Rooms are situated in the main building, in a 2 storey barn conversion between that building and the car park (called the Patio Area) and in a building on the opposite side of the road - a garage and filling station in a former life (called the Stable Block).... This is a very old inn set in beautiful surroundings. We stayed for 2 nights. Unfortunately we were allocated Room 7, on the ground floor, which was very cold and smelt of damp. Although the bedroom was clean and pleasant enough, and we had lovely towels and hot water, the bathroom was of a poor standard, with black mould all... More

We booked a 2-night stay in The Woolpack based on a number of reviews, including those in TripAdvisor. Email confirmation was quick and efficient, including details of their dog-friendly policy. Chilham Village is delightful, unspoiled and with a quiet, old-world atmosphere. The pub is centrally located and easy to find; car parking needed keen eyes to spot the notices but... More

We stayed for a night and found the room was very nice. Clean linen, nice towels, wet room with disabled friendly grab rails. Lovely to hear and see lots of birds in the garden. Would recommend especially to use as a base to visit Canterbury and surrounding areas. The waitress very nice and helpful but seemed to be left on... More

Excellent hosts Nicky & Terry, warm welcome, very friendly excellent food & wine. Nothing too much trouble even with them taking my partner and I into Canterbury to enable us to walk back along the river stour. An inviting log fire in the pub to welcome our return. Rooms were inviting lovely and clean would recommend to friends. Once again... More

The quintessential English village 30 min from Dover port. We loved everything about the Woolpak Inn from the excellent food to the roomy room and the perfect little village. Only problem was our downstairs room wasn't entirely sound proof from upstairs but sometimes goes with the territory with old places (don't get me wrong - room was very comfortable). One... More

Last minute night away, so didn't have time to do much research on this place, plus the other half booked it. Easy to find, with good parking. Slightly weird as the bar is the hotel reception, but OK. We were greeted by a lady who had her mouth full of food, so the first impression wasn't great, however she explained... More

We stayed at the Woolpack for one night during freezing weather inJanuary. Arriving late afternoon we were made welcome told all we needed to know about the Woolpack. and if there was anything we required just to ask. Our room was pleasantly quirky, as you might expect in a 600 year old building, mullioned windows and sloping floor but it... More

This is a lovely pub / restaurant / place to stay in a beautiful village. We stayed in one of the four poster rooms across the road from the pub and everything was lovely. It was quite snowy and cold outside but the room was lovely and warm. We ate at the pub / restaurant on both nights and the... More

Stayed for three nights over Christmas in No 15 which gave us a double room and a twin room for elderly mother, separated by a lounge area with sofa bed and TV. This was ideal as we all had our own space without being oppressively close. We shared the bathroom and this was next door to mum's room so very... More
