This place was great. You arrival takes you up a stunning country side driveway to the fabulous place that is the Great Barn. The owners are very accomodating, wifi works perfectly, clean tidy place with beautiful views from the bedrooms and a lovely breakfast in the morning. Rates are very affordable too. More

If you are looking for a very clean, up-to-date room with an excellent breakfast close to Cardiff, then this is your place. My wife & I had a relaxing evening here and were well-pleased with the accomodations. I must admit that the room, although decorated superbly, lacked a certain amount of charm that I might have expected from a converted... More

We had booked to see Take That at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff and were looking for a place to stay. We came across Great Barn on the internet and thought it looked lovely. The directions we were given were spot on. We arrived sooner thean we had planned and thought it might be too early to go to our... More

The Great Barn is set in an incredibly peaceful and beautiful garden. Arriving at the front door, I was shown to my room which had a balcony with views across the gardens and green fields, all the way to the Bristol Channel. The room was immaculately clean as was the en suite bathroom. The owner was very welcoming and helpful.... More

Tucked away in rolling countryside, this is a delightful, relaxed place to stay. The guest house is immaculate and my (twin) room was very comfortable and restfully decorated with an ensuite with shower. The grounds and surrounding views are lovely and you are a short distance from the main A48 with a couple of inns within reasonable walking distance and... More

As a business man in the process of relocation the Great Barn provides an excellent and most flexible alternative to mainstream hotels. The location is ideal - within 10 miles of the office yet located in a most relaxing rural setting complemented by superb friendly service at all times. Plenty of hot water, individually decorated rooms with a true sense... More

My wife, two children (ages four and seven) and I spent three wonderful days at the Great Barn. We stayed in the family room on the first floor of the Inn. The room was generously large, with a very nice bathroom and an excellent shower. The breakfasts were delicious and the service was beyond conventional expectations. Mrs. Parker and her... More

We stayed at this B&B in late April while attending the wedding of a friend in Cardiff. The Great Barn is a lovely old building, nicely converted, and is located in the countryside near the village of Bonvilston, not far from Cardiff. The directions on the website were spot on and the place was easy to find, despite being quite... More

This was, by far, the nicest B&B I've ever stayed in. The scenery was gorgeous plus the hostess was very sweet and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone traveling in or around Cardiff, Wales. Wonderful breakfasts and service. I hope to return! More
