We stayed in the cheapest room, for 120,000 a night, with just a fan and cold water and it was as to be expected for that price - very simple, just a bed really and a little lock-up cupboard and a tatty bathroom, but this was offset by the lovely beachside restaurant, cheap food, and sunbeds right on the beach.... Gede is the friendliest hostel owner I have met. We were treated throughout our stay as if we were family friends, with someone always on hand to help us out. The hostel is right on the beach and is a glorious place to watch the sunset with a Bintang or two.

Located in Anturan, a small village of Lovina, Gede Homestay is a family hotel, with large and clean rooms. The whole family (how many brothers and cousins can one have?) is extremely nice and will help you with everything from booking your next bus to renting a motorbike. We stayed for 4 nights at Mr Gede's doring our 2 weeks in Bali. The bungalows are spacious, clean and close to the beach. Mr Gede's family was great. Very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.
