I was not sure whether to give an average or very good rating, so this is definitely on the high side of average. Service was good, despite it being a large lodge (capacity for almost 200 people) they manage to split the dining rooms so that you do not feel overcrowded. BUT food is pretty awful. If you are not... More

Love the themed rooms at Amboseli Serena. Great place to stay while visiting Amboseli. Food was good with a a good selection (including some local specialities). Staff friendly. Location wise quite within the park so drive out of the gate and your are in the park. Pros Location Accommodation Staff Cons Mosquitos Menace (especially at night)

Very nice rooms with beds with mosquito nets. Meals were very good here as well. There are a lot of monkeys in the area which might be quite annoying sometimes. I didn't mind though. Very nice experience indeed.

JAMBO, JAMBO! From mosquito net / animal themed bedrooms to Maasai Tribesman restaurant greeter! A great welcome to Kenya. The Lodge is well set out with rooms stretching out from the central reception/bar/restaurant. Our room was shaded behind some trees, but from other rooms & from the pool/bar area you look out over the savannah to forever! The restaurant was... More

Nicely designed resort located just inside the entrance to the Amboseli Game Park. The lodge offers just about everything you would need while resting between game drives. Besides serving good food in a nice atmosphere the restaurant also has a tower where you get fantastic views of the Amboseli area and Mount Kilimanjaro.

In the heart of the amboseli national wildlife park. Great place to stage your morning and afternoon game drives. Service and personnel are par excellence! For the money you can't go wrong! Rooms look out over the savanah where you can see elephant walk by!

We stayed at the Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge for a two night three day visit. I have been to Kenya 5 times and traveled to most national parks. The Serena was the nicest place I have been to yet. The grounds were beautiful and the rooms were great. The decor was genuine and tasteful. The staff was very kind and... More

I have spent a lot of time at this resort over the years. I worked with a Maasai village right next to the lodge and frequented the Serena about once a month for almost a year. This place is fabulous. From the uniquely decorated rooms to the beautiful landscape to the delicious food. I do not have one bad thing... More

Really enjoyed our time here, well positioned in the park near the entrance and good hotel layout. Great size rooms with rear verandas and lots of wildlife to watch. All meals served in the restaurant were plentiful and of a good variety. Evening Masai dancing was fun and especially enjoyed the monkeys everywhere including the pool! Would recommend this resort... Stayed at the Safari Lodge for a few days in February and thoroughly enjoyed the location, food, service and accommodation. Very well thought out decor and facilities, but the best aspect was the helpful staff. nothing was too much trouble and a constant smile was almost part of the uniform. The layout and gardens created exactly the right ambiance, and... More
