My wife were looking for somewhere to stay for the long weekend in March. We heard about the Porongurup Wine Festival, held in the oldest mountain range in the world. We decided to spend that weekend with my daughter and partner who also travelled down from Perth to stay for the three days. We stayed in the Cottage of Indulgence... More

We just got back from a wonderful 5 night stay at Kendenup Lodge and Cottages. A beautiful retreat in the midst of tranquil farmlands with a lovely view of the ranges. We stayed in the blue cottage and it was the perfect base from which to explore this beautiful region. The cottage was like a home away from home, very... More

We were left on our own. We have not seen staff members except when I accidently forgot the keys inside the room. The owner came to open the door but she barely acknowledged us. The room was in good condition but the first night I have not been able to sleep with the noise from the shower pump. The room... More

Wow! I am the one referred to as the unfriendly staff member. I have learnt that some people like to chat and others don't. In this instance I ascertained that this customer perhaps was preferring the latter so I responded accordingly. Was I correct or not? That obviously depends on the persons perception of the moment. There was certainly no... More

Staff were rude. TV was broken. Bathroom ridden with cockroaches. Water pump woke us up from 4am. Certainly not worth what they charge - a tad above cheap hostel quality. More

All of our marketing states that the Lodge rooms are hotel style. I have consciously decided on this term as I learnt that it generally gives my customers a better idea of the style of accommodation. Do hostel rooms have ensuites these days? More

Having booked a wedding at Gilberts Winery at Kendenup (15k North of Mount Barker on the Albany Highway) Bev Gilbert recommended Kendenup Lodge for our base. Arriving two days ahead of the wedding I booked into a twin room and Linda and Rod were most welcoming. Our guests were going to 'take over' the Lodge on the evenning and Amanda... More

We have stayed at Kendenup Lodge & Cottages a few times. The Great southern region is on the move ...with lots of touristy sights plus my favourites ...the wineries!! I like that this property can accommodate large & small groups alike. The views over the Stirling Ranges are amazing. In summer the beaches of Albany & Denmark arent all that... More
