Cedar Lodge is a warm and welcoming place to stay. Our large room and en suite with bath was spotless and comfortable with absolutely everything we needed. Our meal was delicious with the best and freshest ingredients. The ambience was enhanced by the lady of the house's eclectic mix of her I pod on shuffle play! We would recommend it.... More

This is a lovely, small hotel where we had a very spacious room that was very clean. It's location is extremely convenient when you are tired and in search of an easy to locate a night's lodging bit road noise is quite loud. The room was incredibly overpriced (90 euro), higher than Dublin prices and we were strong armed into... More

Having attended a hectic international Corporate Event elsewhere in Ireland, some friends and I in need of R&R and a place to unwind, had the good fortune to check into this cosy and charming establishment in the idyllic countryside of Carrickbyrne for 3 days, prior to departing the Emerald Isle once more. It is conveniently set on the N25 within... More

A large party of us stay at the hotel in early autumn we all found the experience very unpleasant starting with a pot of tea for 4 with 3 teabags no less and costing would you believe 12 euro that's right 12 euro. An elderly lady in our party who was a few minutes late for breakfast was refused even... More

It is untrue to say that anyone here is rude and unpleasant. Normally 3 x 2cup teabags are plenty, however. We never refuse anyone breakfast for being a minute late not like your review which is six months late. Here is a quote from another customer a Mr Hilton who stayed here the same date as you did and filled... More

Travelling over to Ireland from the UK we were delighted to find this comfortable and welcoming Hotel after a long road and sea journey. ' Tom ' the host welcomed us with a reviving cup of tea and showed us to a huge comfy room warm and scrupulously clean. we were soon recovered enough to enjoy a really good meal... More

My partner Robert and I stayed at The Cedar Lodge Hotel last week during the opera festival - 26th - 29th October. We so enjoyed our few days there. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. The food is excellent. There are lots of lounges with comfortable couches and chairs - to sit, relax and read - even the opera reviews.... More

I have never felt strongly enough about accomodation to write a review before. I was very disappointed with this hotel. We had booked to stay for 2 nights. Unfortunately, as it was very late when we arrived the first night, the hotel was closed and all the doors were locked. We attempted to contact the reception by telephone on numerous... More

I would just like to bring certain points to your attention. This is a family run hotel and check in time is at 6pm, why did you not inform us that you would not be arriving until the next day in the early hours of the morning. You and your partner arrived at 11.30am the next morning, almost a day... More

My partner and I came accross this gem just by chance while touring the South East. I'm in my late forties, my partner thirty something and we both like our comforts. Booked in for one night, but stayed for three, which says a lot. This hotel has everything the discerning traveller requires... large well appointed room, ours was at the... More

Never stay here. The hotel staff are difficult and rude.. There are plenty of nicer places to stay where the staff are pleasant. I would consider Cedar lodge again when it has a new owner and new staff. I am amazed that they are still in business with their attitudes More

We have no idea what has provoked such a scathing attack on an entire hotel workforce.. You have not brought any actual complaint to our attention therefore we are only left to surmise that this is a personal attack without any foundation. More
