“Perfect retreat in the Basque Country”

We had a wonderful stay with Alberto, his wife, and the staff. They were warm, inviting and genuine. We appreciated the care and the details that went into the design/ architecture upgrades throughout the property. A definite must if you are visiting the Basque region. More

Hotel Urune is located in a wonderful forested and hilly part of northern Spain, the property is at the end of a lovely farm road and from the back garden you get the most magical views. A peaceful rural location yet close to Gernika. The owners, Alberto and his wife, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. This is a Hotel Rural two star bed and breakfast ( and afternoon tea). Evening meals can be cooked with prior notice. It appears to be a recently converted/ part new build and the surprise is the quality of the fit out and the cleanliness.
