Nothing beats the location on top of the mountain in the monastery of San Juan de la Peña. The woods and playgrounds are great for children. The rooms are spacious and modern, maybe a bit too modern for such a historic site. The restaurant isn’t very cosy either, it makes people whisper. A decent choice, but just for one night.

This is the hotel that could be great. Amazing transformation of an old monastery into a chic hotel while still nicely preserving history. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable with good amenities. The only thing wrong with this place is the restaurant (where you pretty much have to go given the location). The food is absolutely terrible; borderline inedible....
