We stayed in the hotel on June of 2022. The first thing that you’ll notice once you arrive at the hotel is its design. The exterior looks amazing and picturesque. That’s not the only thing that looks amazing because of the STUNNING view of the snow capped mountains that overshadows everything around it. We booked a — room. It was pretty nice and I have no complaints whatsoever. The food was quite delicious too. There's pretty decently sized parking available inside the hotel property. There are also a few small shops just a few minutes walk away if you need anything (though I am pretty sure the hotel probably has everything you might need for a short stay). If you ever visit Kalpa, this is the place you’d want to stay at.

This is probably the best hotel experience of our lives. The room was spacious, with breathtaking views of the snowcapped mountains all around. The service was top notch. I would strongly suggest sitting at the awesome restaurant and soak in the view. The food is good and the stay, surrounded by apple orchards, is simply serene.

We booked this hotel for overnight stay when we went on on a 16 day road trip in June - July 2022 with one of the most reliable and versatile driver, Mr. Raj Kumar (+917876186496). We had earlier used his Cab in 2008 when we had taken a trip to Himachal. He is thoroughly aware of the road conditions in every part of Himachal. We drove Rakchham and Kalpa was situated at a higher altitude. We crossed Reckong Peo area to reach the hotel owned by HPTDC. The hotel needs better maintenance. Water was sipping out in bathroom. The carpet cleaning never been done and getting worn out. The hotel is located on a strategic place looking up to Kinnaur Kailash range. Our room had limited view of the Kinnaur Kailash range. However, people could not see the peaks clearly as the weather was foggy. However, in the morning of our stay, the weather suddenly changed for better and we could see the peaks and Kinnaur Kailash and other peaks very clearly from the hotel. The food during dinner was okay with limited options. The breakfast was also so so with limited choices like Parantha and sandwich. The staff were nice but the place needs better maintenance.…

Thumbs up for : 1. Good location. Road leads to the hotel is in quite good condition. 2. The property has excellent view of surrounding Himalayas. 3. Ample parking facility. 4. Staffs are very well behaved. 5. Hotel offers free WiFi . 6. The hotel has beautiful lawn, where you can enjoy Sunrise and Sunset. 7. The hotel has a big dining space with mesmerizing Himalayan view. The restaurant serves very delicious dishes. 8. Our room (Room no.305, first floor) was very big with basic amenities including a room heater. We got a corner room so that we enjoyed an uninterrupted wide view of snow-capped Kinner-Kailash range. Fortunately we experienced full moon night during our stay; we got to see the Moonrise from Kinner-Kailash ! It was an unforgettable experience to witness the silver light of fool moon over the snow-caps at midnight. Thumbs down for: 1. Lack of maintenance keeps it signs everywhere from room to the lawn. Cattle feces, used nappies and wine bottles were scattered everywhere at the lawn ! 2. in our room the wardrobe was not shutting properly. Nails were out from the wooden chair. Sofa cover was stained. The glass windows were not cleaned from outside. 3. Food in the restaurant was definitely delicious, but the price was very high and quantity was small. 4. Though there is free WiFi facility, but it covers just the reception area at the ground floor !…

This hotel has the best bier of Kinnaur Kailash. The staff is so helpful and always greet you with a smile. Food and room service is excellent. If visiting Kalpa this place is a must stay. For a family of 4 the family suit is a ideal place to stay.

The hotel is in a excellent location and wonderful view all around. Kalpa itself is a small village having apple orchard all around and this hotel is in the topmost part of the hills. People can get very nice and clear view of Kailash from this hotel. We have booked a 4 bedroom on the upper part of this hotel. This accommodation consists of two rooms (1 room having a double bed and another room having 2 single bed) and a dinning hall. Excellent view from each room. Every morning, when sun rises, makes the Kailash hill golden in color and the color of the hill keeps on changing time to time. You can enjoy these scenic beauty just sitting by the window side of the room. There is apple orchard just beside this property, Mr. Thakur, the manager, very helpful, has taken permission from the owner of this apple orchard and they have taken us to the apple orchard. This was an unforgettable memory, we have plucked apples and they have taken us to the whole area. Very nice people and very nice behavior. We have visited the nearby locality also like the Rogi Village, Monastery and temple. Mr. Thakur guided us. However, the choice of food is limited. In breakfast they will serve only Puri or Paratha. But we have enjoyed the masala khichdi in dinner. Khichdi was really very tasty. The common dinning hall is having a beautiful view all around. It was really a nice experience to stay in this HPTDC hotel. Staffs are very helpful. but the property could be maintained in a better way.…
