Great food, rooms, service and beaches. The staff are very courteous and helpful. The evening bands were great but finished too early at 10:00pm. The entertainment area was also too small for the number of guests. Avoid the Shirley Heights Sunday "party". It is just an event for tourists who are charged 8$US each for entry. There are very few... More

The St. James offers a variety of environments to enjoy - Coco's Beach, facing the Atlantic (and protected by an offshore reef); Maroma Beach on the tranquil bay (no other hotel on the bay); the 6 pools (check out the multi-tiered Piccolo pool facing the bay) and the pleasure of walking the grounds. We found the staff to be uniformly... More

Went with some friends and relations. I think this was my fifth visit and their second, so know the ropes. St.James's is unusual in having two quite different beaches, one being on the Atlantic side and it is for this reason that I stay there - the beach being constantly cooled by off-shore breezes. No sweat, as they say !... More

Thank you for your comments. We strive to deliver an excellent vacation experience, so we are always pleased to get positive feedback. During our renovations of the Jacaranda Bar we were recommended to install an energy efficient door that automatically closes. However we have noted your comments and will check to ensure it is closing in the proper timeframe. We... More

We stayed in one of the premier reef rooms at this hotel and whilst these are not directly on the beach they are the best rooms and are in a good central (yet quiet) location. We totally enjoyed the holiday from beginning to end - great food, great cocktails and great hospitality. We ate mainly at the Docksider and found... More

Beautiful and quiet on the ocean side, a little busier on the calm water bay side. Room was ocean view with a porch, large room, large bathroom. All inclusive food. Three restaurants and a beach bar. Main restaurant was excellent, Docksider pretty with a mediocre buffet. Rainbow was tops in food and service. Piccolo Mondo not worth the extra charge,... More

Excellent place and my second visit there. Food, staff, rooms are very good with good attention to detail. Coco's beach is splendid; you can swim with pelicans flying above! Good catamaran trip to Nelson's dockyard, etc. with excellent crew. Beaches(there are two) were clean and good for walking as well as swimming. Management staff are excellent. Some minor criticisms; the... More

We just returned from a 7 day stay at the St. James Club and had a wonderful time. It was just my husband and I traveling. We arrived in Antigua at 3:15 and by 5:00 we were at the St. James Club. We had read about long waits at the airport but we breezed right through. We got a cab... More

Immigration in Antigua is a nightmare. A 2 hour wait to get through Customs to find that our taxi booked by the travel company had left without us. We had to endure a further hour for a replacement taxi in the sweltering heat. Not a great start to the dream vacation unfortunately. St James's Club held such promise. The pictures... More

Thank you for your comments. We are sorry you had a negative experience with regards to the restaurants on offer. We appreciate there was some disruption when the bar was closed for refurbishment, we tried our best to accomodate all our guests and keep the inconvenience to a minimum. We have had problems with our internet service provider, however these... More

St James Club is fine if you're happy to stay in one place. There are meant to be a choice of 4 restaurants for dinner (Rainbow is best, Docksider is actually the poorer, Coco Beach doesn't count as it's just burger lunchtime menu and the Italian you have to pay extra for so for an All Inclusive for dinner it's...
