I stayed for 1 night here as part of the Stay and Bake package. On arrival I was greeted after a long drive by Lesley and I immediately felt very welcomed. The jug of cold water and homemade baking she brought to my room was also very welcome! The room I had was lovely, very clean, and very homely. I... More

An excellent day beating dough into submission and the results were astonishingly good. A very friendly and patient approach made the day both relaxed yet full of achievement. The amount of bread I took away was quite staggering and thoroughly enjoyed by the many people keen to try it when I got home! More

Truly wonderful course - and wonderful bread at the end of it! Lesley and her husband could not have been more friendly, welcoming and fun. Lesley is a very patient and expert teacher. The home cooked lunch in her beautiful kitchen was also delicious. Many thanks for a fabulous experience. More

Really, really friendly. Accommodation good with huge log fire downstairs (great for unwinding around after a hard day kneading!) Both had some bread making experience but we learnt a lot. Pace was good. My only advice would be to free up some space in your freezer beforehand - you'll be taking a lot of gorgeous bread home. More

We had a lovely stay at Lesley's kitchen. Dinner the night before the bread-making course was delicious and very generous! Fell asleep in front of the fire with full tummies. Husband thoroughly enjoyed his bread-making course the next day: said that Lesley was very informative and he learned alot. We have been enjoying beautiful fresh bread every since. Lesley and... From the moment you step into the beautifully restored Old Church you know that you're somewhere special. Lesley and husband David are very welcoming and the small numbers (4 max) on the courses mean you get individual attention. I did the Basic Bread Making course and not only learnt how to use different flours but also how to create different... More

I am well impressed and what a fabulous place to learn from Lesley! She is a wonderful lady who teaches with enthusiasm, fun and a great deal of skill and knowledge. I booked in for the basic bread making course and was introduced to the French stretch and fold method of working the dough which makes wonderfully light and tasty... More

I decided to book the Basic bread making course as a gift for my mum's birthday. We arrived on Friday night to be greeted by both David and Leslie and shown to our twin room which was clean and spacious and had everything you would expect from a top quality hotel. The bathroom was huge with an amazing power shower... More
