Simply superb way to unwind! Excellent cottages, clean, cozy, private and beautiful. We are a family of 4 - 2 boys age 14 and 9. We spent 3 nights in the luxary villa and the experience was simply amazing. The staff there is superb and caters to every need . They treat you like family. There is enough stuff to... More

If you are looking for a place to go for rambling walks, to go kayaking with your family, to sit back and quaff the spirit of your choice, all the while gorging on local delicacies, whilst ensconced in the lap of luxury... well this is the resort you want to resort to. We had a lovely break from the hustle... More

Its a nice place to getaway from your hectic schedule and enjoy a relaxed weekend.. we went there without any expectations.. but thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The best part of the stay there is, you are occupied with a lot of activities.... especially the coffee plantation walk.. it was amazing. The staff and the manager make you feel at home. the... More

The property has a wonderful ambience. Scenic, well planned, well kept. Room decor is beautiful. Staff is very helpful, and went out of their way to accommodate us. No room phones, and no mobile network gave a lovely cutoff feeling from our harried lives. More

The Flameback Lodges are high up in the mountains and in the midst of a coffee plantation. You are accommodated in lodges with a short walk to the central lodge where breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided. The food is excellent. They have an outstanding chef. The evening begins with drinks - try the local Cabernet Sauvignon - round a... More

This is one place that lived up to its reviews. We spent 3 nights in Flameback. What struck me first was the tranquility. The property is suurounded by hills and coffee planattions, there is even a small lake. We stayed in the paddy cottage, aptly named as we were surroundered by lush paddy fields. It was almost like we were... More

Spent two days at the Flameback with another family. Was an outstanding experience. The cottages are very well appointed and comfortable, the food is excellent, and the staff was really warm and friendly. I would recommend the resort without any exceptions!! Just one tip - it is best to give the resort a call once you reach Mudigere, as you... More

Flameback is 250kms/5.5hrs from Bangalore. the last 1 hr of the journey has awful roads, the rest is sooperbly maintained roads, absoultely scenic journey. the resort was delightful, Kartikeya's plantation seems to be everywhere, its 250acres of the lushest foliage - a birders dream. The resort itself sits on an 80acre property i think. 3 of us stayed in the... More

It was a great stay at the flame back lodges. The 1 km mud road to the hotel was not ideal for luxury cars, and there was not a roofed parking area. There was no sign board to the hotel to guide us. The hotel people guide us through the telephone. We got a warm reception by providing chilled bear.... More
