Stayed for one night only, visiting for a birthday party... Our room was large and airy, very nice, breakfast in the morning was okay, sausage, egg and bacon. Cereal was available and bread for making toast, Orange Juice. No jam or marmalade. Beautiful surroundings and very peaceful..

I stayed for 2 nights this week. This was so much better than holiday inns and any of the other impersonal chain hotels. It offered fantastic value for money. The hosts were welcoming and helpful. My room was in a quiet building, adjacent to the pub. It was much larger than most hotels and dogs were welcomed. The position was... More

Myself and 5 friends recently kayaked down the Wye, stopping off overnight at the camp site in Lucksall. After an easy (!)20 min walk from the campsite we found the welcome at the pub quite warm & friendly. There were several local bitters on offer which were were all very nice & hit the spot. The food was very good... More

We stayed for two nights for a nearby friends wedding and loved it, our room was large, clean and comfortable, with a lovely bathroom. We had our 11 month old with us and a cot was provided, as well as high chairs at breakfast (which was tasty) and for the one night we ate in the pub. Food in the... More

My sister and I were researching our ancestors in Templecombe (1 mile away) and were booked to stay at the Half Moon 2 nights. Then the Icelandic volcano erupted, and the 2 nights became 6! Thanks to the wonderful proprietors and their staff, and their friendly evening clientele, we enjoyed every minute of it. Their kindness will always be remembered.... More

I found my time at the half moon a very enjoyable one. The staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The pub is an old country style watering hole which I would love at the end of my road! The facilities were clean and I would definitely stay there again.!

Stayed here while attending a wedding at near by hotel. Room was basic but clean. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was nice too!! We also ate in the pub in the evening this was also very tasty and large portions. There is nothing within walking distance to do and not much nearby even if your driving. I paid £70... More
