on arrival the toilet was dirty. no hot water on tap had to put pump on and phone the owner to do that. dirty cereal bowls in breakfast table.poor breakfast /brought breakfast while still eating cereal. the mealat night was average bits of plastic in the burgerand the cheese board

My sister and I were researching our ancestors in Templecombe (1 mile away) and were booked to stay at the Half Moon 2 nights. Then the Icelandic volcano erupted, and the 2 nights became 6! Thanks to the wonderful proprietors and their staff, and their friendly evening clientele, we enjoyed every minute of it. Their kindness will always be remembered....

I found my time at the half moon a very enjoyable one.
The staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome.
The pub is an old country style watering hole which I would love at the end of my road!
The facilities were clean and I would definitely stay there again.!

Stayed here while attending a wedding at near by hotel. Room was basic but clean. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was nice too!! We also ate in the pub in the evening this was also very tasty and large portions. There is nothing within walking distance to do and not much nearby even if your driving. I paid £70...
