3 nights dinner b and b made a fabulous introduction to this magical island. Dining for guests only so we had private dining for two nights with a window seat overlooking the loch and the paps of Jura. By no means the cheapest food on the island but 9 courses each over 3 days and each one a delight. Cycled... More

We enjoyed four very comfortable nights on the top floor and dined in every evening. The food was generally of the very highest quality although choice was limited and the dining room lacked atmosphere and the seats were rather low for the height of the tables. The dinner was a fixed price (at a five star level) and so offered... More

An excellent stay at a very, very good establishment that sits on the cusp between B&B and Boutique hotel: friendly, comfortable, well designed and with brilliant food. As other reviewers have noted, it is rather expensive for what it offers (and certainly relative to its nearest local competitors) but the quality is certainly there to match. Beds were very comfortable,... More

I'll admit I was skeptical; this was by far the most expensive B&B/small hotel I ever stayed in. It is also, however, the best by far!! The food is a particular highlight - eating in at least one night is a must. I genuinely cannot find fault with this fantastic little business. If it were cheaper, that would clearly be... More

My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon in Islay in March 2011. I wouldn't normally go to the effort of submitting a review but given how fantastic Paul and Joan were I was keen to endorse them. They combine the best aspects of friendly personal customer service with professionalism and quality of delivery. Whilst you cannot miss the... More

We arrived on a wet evening to a warm welcome and as the gale strengthened we were delighted to be in such a comfortable, stylish place. Our room was huge with a great bathroom (a view over the hills at the back) and very well equipped. Paul is a great host and Joan's food is just wonderful, we were very... More

From the moment I contacted Paul via email some months ago to book our 3 nights stay to our very reluctant parting a few weeks ago, everything about this establishment was top shelf. Our welcome on that very first night was something I will remember for a long time. Not over officious like the posh hotel we stayed at later... More

It was so nice to return, Islay was as beautiful as ever, An Taigh Osda is by far the most comfortable, homely, and welcoming place we stayed on our travels. It is not a B&B it is an Hotel and it does an excellant evening meal, which was far better than we had previously which was fantastic then.Breakfast was so... More
