We stayed at Kibale Forest Camp this April during a honeymoon trip to Uganda. We stayed one night before doing a chimp trek in Kibale Forest (which was amazing). We were the only guests there but I can attest to the fact that the service was amazing, the food excellent, the accommodation exceedingly comfortable and we considered the bucket showers... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Kibale Forest Camp, not because of any inherent specialness, but the food was very good, the tents clean and comfy and the staff accommodating. We sat by the fire pit at night after our dinner and fired a clay Chimpanzee that a local boy had made (see photo) and enjoyed the night sounds of... More

We spent 3 nights at Kibale Forest Camp in Feb 2013. The tents were clean, comfortable and very pleasant. The hot water for the showers was reliably delivered at the scheduled times. The sand toilets were well maintained and not too unpleasant. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. The food was good. This was one of the nicer tented camps... More

Even though we choose the "camping" option in our 7 day Uganda trip, this was hardly camping. Large permanent tents, 2 beds inside, separate shower and toilet area, little veranda in the front for the sundowner, while listening to the red and black/white Colobus monkeys in the trees over your head. For the rest nothing but sounds of the bush!... More

We went for the basic tent option ($60 half board for two people, $35 tent only). The tents were comfortable and good value. But the highlight was the food: a delicious four course meal in a lovely setting. The service was also great, the staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable, getting hot water ready for... More

Another place styled as an Eco Lodge. Well I suppose it is but I think more for effect than actually planet friendly. We had 4 nights here, itself unusual in this industry, and so had time to reflect on the service, concept and execution. Approached from the road from Bigodi Swamp, to which it is adjacent, by a 2km track... More

Hello, we had a great time at Kibale Forest Camp. Place is brilliant far from the main road in the middle of the forest and very friendly crew. The tents are ecolodge style and the little paths to reach the tents are quite authentic with monkeys around. Definitively good value for money for accomodation, food and friendliness!

We had a wonderful stay in the Kibale Forest Camp. Every tent has it's own space in the rainforest and is nicely furnished. The menu was more than excellent - it's incredible what the kitchen crew prepares. And they even cooked an African menu as I asked for. This menu was absolutely delicious too. Last but not least the staff... More

two camp attendants greet arriving guests at the parking spot upon arrival since they can hear the engine of arriving vehicles. Rose briefed us with a well-learned speach about the lodge, mealtimes, services, etc at the main building and the camp attendant did so at the elevated ensuite canvas tent explaining where an how we can use water and when... I had a fantastic stay at Kibale Forest Camp! The location is absolutely perfect and we received a very warm welcome by the staff upon arrival. The service and the quality of food was excellent and I especially liked the cup of tea on the porch in the morning! So an absolute value for money as far as I am... More
