Last week we had family visiting so we decided to go for lunch. It was terrible, I had fish and chips with coleslaw which had gone bad, it was disgusting. My husband had a burger which was very overcooked and dry. The service was good but food awful. Will not go back.

We had had a disappointing stay at what was meant to be a very reputable hotel outside of Whitehorse, but regained our spirit the moment we checked into this hotel. The manager there was everything we had hoped for at our previous place. Warm, welcoming and as kind as could be. She checked us into a very clean and comfortable... More

Compared to the other places in town this hotel is pretty nice. Very clean with comfortable beds, good sized rooms and nice staff. The walls are a little thin (we could hear our friends downstairs talking and someone next door snoring). The location is great to walk to most places and there is parking, free shuttles and we took pictures... More

My husband and I stayed here for 7 days during the Yukon Quest week. It was very handy to everything we wish to see and partake in and across from the Yukon Quest office. There was no need for a car as we walked everywhere we wanted to go and when we booked excursions, we were picked up. The staff... More

...But you pay for it, over $200. Still, rooms 202, 203 and 204 very nice and fun with large groups. Front desk has somewhat of a reputation for messing up reservations during busy periods like the Klondike road race, but they are nice and try to resolve problems. They mistakenly dropped one of our reserved rooms on the wrong day,... More

Thank you for your review of the Edgewater Hotel. As you pointed out our top floor Suites, especially the 900 square foot richly appointed “Royal Executive King Suit” that looks out on to the Yukon River, are definitely amazing rooms to stay in. Please do remember that our Suites are an absolutely great venue to have group meetings and social... More

This is the best location in Whitehorse, hands down. This hotel is located right on the main street - everything is within walking distance. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are quite large. I had a ground room with the windows facing the main road, so you can hear people walking by at night (after the bar) and... More

This hotel has very nice rooms. I had a ground floor street front room and this is a no no. They should heavily discount these rooms, there are about six of them because you have absolutely no privacy if you want light in your room. The reason is that their room lighting is appalling and when you open the curtains... More

Thank you for your review of the Edgewater Hotel. We do have 3 beautiful waterfront facing ground floor rooms that are wheelchair accessible which do have the white privacy curtains behind the heavy blackout curtains for your privacy during the day light hours, which in the summer is a few hours shy of all the time. We also have installed... More

Very comfortable beds, but the stay is as costly as a New York hotel. All amenities including fridge. Coffee maker, toiletries. Great shower. Quiet. And pleasant staff. Use your AAA for a small discount.

Thank you for your review of the Edgewater Hotel. The first time I slept in one of our beds here I could have stayed in bed all day, so I definitely agree with you about our beds being amazingly comfortable. Unfortunately I wish the hotel rates in New York were priced as low as are rates, I have been wanting... More

This hotel is clean, secure and has a great location. The reception was a little off-putting, but we did get great service. We went to Edgewater based on the reviews from this site as we initially intended on camping. Due to the short timeline, we didn't do too much research but enjoyed our stay. We were able to walk around... More

Our family had a total of five rooms at the Edgewater in late June 2012 and we were all happy with our accomodations. My room (103) had a nice view of the Yukon River. The beds are nice, the bathrooms are clean and there's a good TV, WIFI, desk and fridge. The pub downstairs has good food and is open... More
