This is a lovely hotel. I suppose you could pay a fortune and book a room in the Chateau Frontenac next door. Or for a fraction of the price, if you bokked early, you could get a room at the Chateau Terrasse Dufferein with a balcony withe same views overlooking the St Lawrence, friendly service and a good breakfast. For visitors there is no better hint as to accommodate for the weekend to watch the people walking on the Promenade just in front of the Chateaux and observe the busy river traffic from the balcony of Room 16. Even the French breakfast is served on a balcony of the reception with a great view.

The best way to describe the interior of this hotel is dated. The common areas and rooms were probably fitted out about 30 years ago and really could do with a bit of modernisation.
