If you want to taste the flavour of the old city of Quebec then splash out for a night or two in the centre of the old quarter, as the Clarendon is right there. You won't regret it. As parking is not free, it is advisable to compare the hotel valet parking rate with the municipal underground car park, in... More

If your budget does not allow you to splurge and stay at the Chateau Frontenac, then the Clarendon is an ideal choice for singles, couples and families alike on a smaller budget. The Clarendon has been a longtime favourite of repeat, savvy visitors to Quebec City. It sits on a quiet street facing City Hall and across the street from... More

Just got back from a 6 night stay here & I concur with other reviewers that the hotel's location is fabulous. The Funicular, Chateau Frontenac, Musee de Fort are only a couple blocks away. Also within walking distance are: Simons (their department store; reasonable prices; for those nights where you need an 'emergency' going-out outfit; ladies, you know what I'm... More

The only way have a more convenient location would be an RV driven to each site you want to visit. So many sights are only minutes away, except for the Art Deco “Price” building which is next door. Restaurants, shops, the Chateau Frontenac, the Terrace, the Tourist Information Center, the “Breakneck Stairs” and the Funicular are less than 10 minutes... More

We stayed here for 1 night in September prior to taking a Maritime/New England cruise. We had stayed at this hotel a few years ago, we loved our stay then and very much enjoyed our overnight stay this time as well. It is ideally located right in the centre of Old Quebec City, close to everything. It is a very old... More

Me and my wife staied at the hotel Claredon on a vacation to Quebec City for 3 nights. We selected the hotel by analysing its location on google maps and the reviews here. We had a great experience. The location is fabulous (5 min walk to the fairmont chateau frontenac), the staff if friendly, the rooms are big, the bed... More

Great location, but the hotel left a bit to be desired. The rooms were okay and the service adequate. Arrived on late flight and no assistance on places to eat. The fitness centre comprised three machines, which were all functionally broken and somewhat unsafe to attempt to use - very poor. Wouldn't stay there again. More

This is (supposedly) the oldest hotel in Canada ... we had an adequate room with a coffee maker .. the bed was OK but the air conditioner blows directly down on the bed which was somewhat uncomfortable ... the hotel is in very good shape for its age ... they offered a "deal" at checkin for dinner and breakfast which... We checked in the first night and barely slept. Asked to change rooms due to the lumpy, awful bed and they acted like this was a regular request. The next room was only slightly better. When we checked out and said the bed was terrible, the clerk agreed and then commented on the weather. Would never return. More

Bonjour, Thank you for your comment. First, let me express my apologies for the non respect of our handling complaints procedure by our front desk agent. You should have been brought into contact with one of our supervisor. Witch one, would have had the empowerment to ensure you wouldn’t have left our hotel on that note. To your convenience, I... This hotel was amazing! It's 141 years old, so we enjoyed the history and architecture of the building. The service was outstanding, the staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet was a delight - especially given the price. I would - and have aleady - suggest this hotel to anyone visiting Quebec City. More
