My favorite place to stay in old Montreal. Easy walking to the port n attractions. On a quiet cobblestone street. Only noise is from the clipity clop of a horse drawn carriage. Friendly, helpful staff and cosy common area. Only downfall is the steps but you can store larger luggage on first level.

HI I stayed here for 10 days in July 2010. I really liked it, very clean. The common area had a nice kitchen. I was not real wild about having a coed room, but I survived. Great place, cool people, very good location in old city, near old port, museums and bars. You can stay alone if you feel so or chat with the others. The shared kitchen-common room is a funky patchwork.

It was a relief to stay here after some dodgy experiences elsewhere. This place is great, relaxed, cool staff, comfortable rooms and it was fantastic to stay in the Old City. I've stayed in a number of hostels, and this is one of my favorites. There is a huge common area with a big kitchen, both of which are conducive to hanging out and meeting other travelers. Good free coffee always available, along with free internet access. The staff's friendly and helpful, the bathrooms clean, and the whole place is cozy.... More

Great place, really enjoyed the arty atmosphere, nice to be treated like a human instead of the usual impersonal atmosphere.
