Large, clean room with full kitchen, right in the center of everything we wanted to see and do. Very friendly helpful staff, $10 a day parking is available right behind the hotel and a grocery store is 1 block away. Must be able to do stairs!

We spent a weekend here and while the sex shop downstairs was a little disconcerting once up the stairs the lobby was bright , clean and inviting. The staff are bilingual , friendly and ready to help with all inquiries. we arrived before our rooms were ready but they found a place to store our gear and we were able... More

Thank-you for your review and high recommendation. The hotel does not own the main floor of this centennial building but occupies the top three floors, hence the smaller entrance. The hotel has made major renovations as of late, in keeping with its historical character (high ceilings, maple wood floors, exposed brick walls) and we are pleased that you appreciated the... More

Don't judge a book by its cover! Like all other reviewers, your first impression will be one of aprehension. However as you climb the stariwell within the exposed brick walls and make the turn into the foyer at the top, you will be taken aback by the appearance, cleanliness, and character that this hotel has.,The friendly staff ensure that all... I had read great reviews about this place and found an awesome deal on booking.com. The city block it is on, the exterior narrow entrance, and the fact it is above a sex shop tends to make your heart sink at first but once you enter the building you see a really well-maintained heritage hotel and an extremely friendly staff.... We booked a couple of rooms for a girl's weekend April 19-20 and were pleasantly surprised with the amazing customer service at this charming boutique hotel. David at the front desk earns his salary for his impeccable customer service and is certainly an aasset to the hotel. He consistently went above and beyond existing societal customer service standards. The other... More

From the second we walked up the stairs the gentleman ( David) at the desk was wonderful. What an amazing person/employee. If i had a business with David running it for me i would have no doubt it would be successful. Makes everyone feel at home and is very accomodating and funny. Just a delight!!! I wanted a night with my man on the town - nice quiet supper out, no kids etc. Booked through GroupOn and got a great deal which included breakfast at the nearby Café Dépot. Had read many positive reviews and was aware there was a sex shop downstairs (could be handy ;-)) but nevertheless my man's eyebrows were raised as... More

Stayed recently on a team buy special. This area has been recently totally changed for the better despite the sex shop. Pleasantly surprised by the large clean room and only slight street noise as it fronts on st Catherine st. near Place des arts. Parking very close underground at complexe Desjardins for only 10$ for 24 hrs! Decent free breakfast... More

When we pulled up to the hotel, my heart sank to see a sex shop at street level. Public parking behind the hotel was a well lit, large lot with a tender who slept overnight for security. For downtown city parking, it was a fair price considering the security. The hotel entrance is non-descript but video monitored. Up some stairs... More
