This hotel is really good, very clean and comfortable. We stayed at an area that had recently been refurbished, so the room was brand new, the toilette had been redone and was very modern and trendy. We took a walk in the hotel and noticed other floors such as the first floor were not redone yet, and therefore looked pretty... More

This hotel is ideally located for events in the Big O, Saputo Field, shopping in Anjou and the Arboretum in the east end of Montreal. It is not far from the Metro by which you can access most other parts of this wonderful city. It is reasonably priced but unfortunately could use some modernizing of the bathrooms which are quite... Spent 2 nights at the HUM over the march break with the three kids. Service was great and really need to mention how nice and helpful Laurie was...what a fantastic employee at the hotel! We got a 2 night deal for 2 adults and 3 kids, including 2 full warm breakfasts for 5 (eggs, bacon, etc...) and tickets for the... More

We choose this hotel because of its proximity to the insectarium, biodome and botanical gardens. It is also across the street from the olympic stadium. We rented a suite (room 301) and this room was very large. The main room / living room was very old looking and a bit worn out but the hallway, separate room and bathroom had... More

My family and I travel to Montreal often. We live in New York. We have many family members in Montreal and nearby in St. Leonard so we chose Hotel Universal since it was near them. On this past trip in December we got stuck in the snow storm. We lost an entire day with the family so when the snow... More

We've stayed here twice, both emergencies, summer and winter. The lobby is deceiving because it's bright and spacious. But once you're past the lobby the hallways are dark and dingy. Dark old carpet everywhere and a lingering food odor. I kept my shoes on in the room. The toilet ran the whole time we were there. We called them to... More

We stayed here one night. We were on a six week trip to USA and Canada fom New Zealand. We drove from Niagara Falls to Montreal so the grandchildren could see the Chinese Lantern Festival at Botanical Gardens. We arrived about 8pm and checked into our room. The room was pleasant, clean and comfortable. The check in was fine and... More

OK it is not the most attractive hotel on the outside but it is also steps away from the Olympic stadium and some of the rooms have a view looking over it. It is a magnificent even to this day.
