I stayed two nights at this hotel during a short visit to a local university. The hotel has a touch of traditional European feel. The location is very convenient for downtown locations, and is a short walk from the Guy-Concordia Metro (subway). Check-in was friendly and quick, the room was very clean and comfortable, and the complimentary buffet breakfast was... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for your comments. We agree with you, we are definitely not an adapted property. The charm of our 100 year old building unfortunately also means no elevators. Luckily, we only have 4 floors. Regards, More

I "found" this property over 25 years ago. It is not the Ritz but a very good value in a superb location within walking distance to the shopping areas. An excellent but simple breakfast is offered and that adds to the quality of the property. More

This was our second stay at the Chateau and I enjoyed it even more than the first. The service was very friendly and the reception was helpful last year but this visit they seemed to outdo themselves. When we needed a cab at a certain time they arranged it, and when someone else took it, ( it was raining) the... More

Following a European vacation a few months before, my wife and I were married in the Fall of 1986. We wanted a pleasant honeymoon, but we couldn't bust the bank in view of our recent trip abroad. We drove through Ontario and Quebec and spent a few days in Montreal at this hotel. It was tastefully appointed, very comfortable, charming,... More

This hotel is quite quaint yet some elements of it feel somewhat outdated. The rooms are a good size, yet the TV looks like its from the 1980s and the bathroom was quite small. However, they are very comfortable. Breakfast is nice - cereal, cold meats, pastries, and toast. Coffee is good. I'm not sure how much breakfast cost as... More

This is the second time we have stayed at this quaint hotel, The rooms are small but very comfortable--although some of them are a bit worn. The included breakfast is served in a wonderful dining area and consists of very European fare -- cheeses, croissants, and breakfast meats. The ambiance includes classical music and the overall effect is to transport... More

We stayed for two nights for a conference. Room was comfortable but very small. Long steep flight of stairs greet travelers when they arrive on the sidewalk - so be advised you may have to carry your luggage up. Breakfast was very nice in the lounge. More

yes, the room was a little small...but the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also quite nice. Would stay again. No elevator...so if that is an issue for you, please be advised. Walking distance to the Museum of Fine Arts and Crescent street, which is full of dining options, shopping, and nightlife. More

Chateau is not the hotel it once was. We stayed in a "suite" room, and it was marginal. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable, only 2 pillows and the sheets were thin and old and no duvet. The shower did not have much power, and very skimpy with only 2 body towels and 2 hand towels. Breakfast croissants were... More

I booked a Living Social Escape Deal at this hotel and they wouldn't honour it on dates that I could travel to Montreal even though they had rooms available. I guess I'll never know if it's nice or not because with such poor customer service before I even get there, I will definitely never stay there. More
