My sister, her boyfriend, and my girlfriend and I stayed here in August 2011. It is easy to miss from the outside. However once inside, it was really nice. The rooms were very cost efficient, as Montreal can get hella expensive. Even though it was on the cheaper side, you don't sacrifice anything a more expensive hotel can offer. The... More

The Staff was very helpful, they lent us an umbrella on a rainy day. The Bed was not very comfy. The Bathroom was big and clean. Location was nice, close to Berri station. More

Stayed here for three nights and loved it! The staff were amazingly helpful and friendly and the hotel itself has a lot of character that would suit students and lighter travellers looking for a welcoming place to stay. We were really impressed with the location, free breakfast, free wifi, free parking and courtesy shown by everyone we met there and... More

I chose this hotel after reading several good reviews and visiting their website. I was under the impression that it's a 3 star hotel. However, it was a big disappointment when I arrived. It looked like a small bed & breakfast. The parking was limited and only accessible through a small alley. You have to leave your car key at... More

We go to Montreal about once a year, and ALWAYS stay at the Chateau L'Argoat. It is a small European-style hotel: wonderful, warm friendly service, clean rooms, and ideally located across the street from a Metro stop and with dozens (possibly hundreds) of terrific, varied restaurants within a few blocks walking distance. And, it is very easy to get to... More

My visit to Montreal was wonderful and to come back to this place every night made it complete. My husband and I stayed at lArgoat for a week. I didn't know really what to expect and was found to be pleasantly surprised. Perfect location. Nice bedding, comfortable beds are important to me and this did not disappoint. The local made... More

My wife, grown daughter and I stayed here for three nights during the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend. My daughter selected the place after some internet seaching. The stay was very pleasant. The rooms we had was large and comfortable, and clean. The service at the hotel was above average. The location of the hotel is perfect for visitors. We had no... More

To repeat what so many others have said: great location, friendly and helpful bilingual staff, close to attractions, and reasonable continental breakfast. If I return to Montreal, I'd surely try to book here. Just to cover some tips perhaps not cited: the Montreal metro is very easy to use, and quick. We saved a bundle on cabs, and I hate... More

My husband and I just returned from a 4-night stay in this lovely hotel. What a comfortable and charming place to stay in Montreal. ALL the staff were very friendly and helpful with directions, and suggestions on things to do - and always with a smile! The breakfast room was such a cozy place to enjoy the coffee and croissants... We loved everything about this hotel. It's location is close to the Metro and a few blocks walk to both the Latin Quarter and the Plateau with many sidewalk cafes and other eateries and shops, but since it is just on the edge of things, you aren't kept awake by any loud nightlife. They had free parking for our car,... More
