This was our first stop in Canada and we enjoyed the pancake breakfasts. Had a double room which was basic but fine for the price. Some of the staff were helpful, one was notably not (being completely unbothered that our niagara trip was cancelled and made no effort to offer us other options of how we could get there). Location... more

Having read good reviews about Canadiana (both on TripAdvisor and other sites) I have to say that I was a touch disappointed with our experience there. LOCATION: This is probably the best thing about the hostel. It is located just off King Street, and close to nightlife, shopping spots and great eating places. We were able to walk pretty much... more

I stayed here for two nights in a female quad room in the main building. The wireless internet worked fine the entire time and was only slow a couple times. The toilets and showers where I was worked fine and were cleaned daily. At the times I used them, there was plenty of hot water and no waiting in line.... more

Myself and one friend did a bit of travelling around Ontario and Quebec, we stayed in this hostel for two nights and had a really great time. The staff were so friendly and took us to a house party and really cool nightclub...made our short stay in Toronto worthwhile. more

I stayed here for 3 days. I've stayed at $10 hostels and pricier hostels like this one. This one was $10 hostel quality. The beds are incredibly uncomfortable. The rooms are small, and I live in New York so I'm used to small spaces. The size isn't a big deal but if your paying hotel prices you should have room... more

My boyfriend and I decided to go to Toronto for the weekend simply to have fun and explore Toronto. We didn't want to spend too much money on a place to stay and we wanted to be in the center of the action. The Canadiana was perfect for what we wanted!! Awesome location next to lots of restaurants, bars, clubs,... more

It's hard to describe, it's just the overall feeling. When we went upstairs, the stairs and hallways could be more clean, but nothing dramatic. The hardwood floor in our room could have been cleaner, stil everything ok. But the blue blanket with the big white stains on it definitely made us sleep without it. The mattress is covered in plastic,... more

This was my first time staying in a hostel, and I had no idea what to expect. It was a great first experience- now I stay in hostels everywhere I go!! I was doing volunteer training in Toronto. The hostel is close to both my training centre and all the nightlife. The staff was fun and welcoming, and patiently handle... more

Stayed here for three nights. The hostel was quite nice - good common areas, free pancake breakfast, tours etc organised. Sheets and towels provided with deposit. Seemed very popular and was quite busy (and noisy) but then that is to be expected. 15 min walk from the bus terminal, Eaton centre etc. Good range of restaurants nearby. more

We stayed here in a private room in May for 3 nights. The facilities were pretty basic but then the price was very low! We were in the second "house" of rooms, just up the street from the main lobby. There were enough toilet and shower facilities for the amount of rooms in our block. We only had to queue... more
