We came down to Kingston for a mini-break on the long weekend and chose to stay downtown instead of out near the highway. We loved the Holiday Inn on the Waterfront. Fantastic location, friendly, competent staff and good amenities. The rooms were very clean, well-appointed and very quiet. We’ll return to this hotel whenever we return to Kingston.

I stayed in room 319. My view was toward the waterfront except it was spoiled by a sort of rooftop filled with stagnant water, it was plain ugly. I suggest you don't stay to the rooms next to it. Ask for waterfront room on the left side of the hotel or at least on the 3rd floor or higher.
