Indeed, the Eremo doesn't have air conditioning. Or TVs and mini-bars – that's the whole point. This medieval hermitage is now a cross between a private museum, family home and very upmarket b&b. So good looking on their website, but what a joke. Old like a museum only with no guests, small " cells " under a hot roof with a fireplace with the previous guests burned wood, which means the rooms smelled like there has been a fire. On the website the Eremo appears to be a secluded romantic hideaway which makes you feel like you are entering another world. And it did not disappoint.
