We got a warm welcome from Lore and Dieter at Schaferhof in the Niagara region. This place is a little bit country and a lot about the food and drink offered. What gracious hosts the Schafers are! Dieter does barbecues in the outside pit which creates a country party feeling. Lore is known for her cuisine. I?d rather stay here... more

We found Schaferhof by recommendation, and what a great one it was. Not exactly in Niagara Falls (thankfully!), it's located instead about 20 minutes away in the beautiful wine country of Niagara (I think the exact town is Fenwick?).
