A Paradise Found is clean, beautiful, private and are hosted by very kind and helpful people, Connie and Rick. This is likely the best B & B I've ever stayed at. And breakfast of waffles and roasted grapefruit was YUM! We stayed in the Rose room and Rick and Connie were very accomodating. We arrived late and tired from the... More

Very nice and warm place to stay and Connie & Rick are really nice and entertaining hosts! Room was great and breakfasts were really good! Many interesting tips provided by Connie & Rick which have made a big difference in our pleasure in discovering Cape Breton Island. Very good suggestions such as Coal mine in Glace Bay, Louisburg fortress, Lighthouse... More

We had a wonderful stay at A Paradise Found. Rick and Connie made us feel right at home and treated us like we were part of the family. The breakfasts were a delight to look forward to each morning and Rick was a great conversationalist who kept the conversatin flowing nicely. He provided us with a vast amount of information... More

What a great old home! Right near everything. Fantastic hosts, and extremely interesting. Great conversation, great rate, great room with a comfortable bed and lots of room. Even a friendly kitty. Close to Sydney Mines, Close to The Fortress at Louisburg, in fact...close to everything! Rick and Connie made us feel like part of the family.

Connie and Rick are excellent hosts. When I called with my credit card number to reserve the room, they asked if there was something I wanted to see and then emailed me some recommendations ahead of time. They are very knowledgeable about the area and have lots of maps and books. They also made me feel at home. The B&B... More

We were part of the family ( previous review DonP) who were in Sydney for a family service. Arriving at Paradise Found in the very early morning hours we were greeted by a smiling Rick who gave us a warm welcome and escorted us to our lovely room. Their home is character filled and beautiful. "Breakfast time" around their gorgeous... More

We recently experienced a death in our family which necessitated a return home to Sydney NS. We were beyond fortunate to have decided on staying at "A Paradise Found"- a beautiful home. But it is Rick and Connie who made the visit warm, welcoming and supportive. Our family members were welcomed there following the "service" and it felt like home.... More

We were referred to A Paradise Found by another B&B owner who didn't want the hassle of coming home and taking care of new, unannounced arrivals. Lucky for us because we enjoyed a memorable breakfast and warm hospitality with Rick and Connie. After two weeks of bacon and eggs, I was pretty sure my arteries were setback with major clogging.... The review is wonderful, as were the guests who wrote it and obviously enjoyed their stay enough to rate their stay as "5 bubbles" in every category. I cannot understand, therefore, why the overall rating given by Trip Advisor only rates the stay as "4 bubbles". Am I missing something? The "4 bubble" overall rating is not consistent with my... We spent three nights with Rick and Connie in September. From the first emails, Rick was very responsive, suggesting activities for the day and entertainment for our evenings in Cape Breton. We were traveling with another couple, occupying two of the three bedrooms. Both suites were nice, and very, very clean. The two most memorable things about our stay were... More

It was great to have the 4 of you from the great State of Texas with us here at A Paradise Found and glad that you enjoyed your time with us. If I recall right, I think it was about 104 Fahrenheit in Houston the days you were here - a perfect time to get away and explore the beauty... More

This is a great B&B. Rick and Connie serve great breakfasts and give you all the service and support you need. The room is very nice and clean. My son is studying in Sydney at CBU and Rick and Connie gave all the support that they could give. Betty from the Netherlands.

Connie and I really enjoyed having you with us at A Paradise Found. We were particulary happy to renew our acquaintance with AJ and we look forward to following all of the Capers games again this season. Connie was just talking to him tonight and they beat St FX (their biggest rivals) by 40 points today on their own court.... More
